What Is The Single Best Quality of Your Candidate?
Ok, the rules I want to set up and hope it is followed:

1)Only ONE quality.

2)No one can post a discrediting follow up. You can agree, but if you disagree just let it go.

3)No backhanded disrespecting of other candidates, "Because he's not Joe Lieberman" and such.

I figure since we are so often at odds with each other, we can at least agree that we believe in a great candidate (whomever that may be).

Hey, get back at your podiums, Edwards and Kerry!

1. Dean
His fire, although a lot of the other candidates are picking up on that, too. But, I think he's the most eloquent.

7. I think I love you, Funk
This is a great thread.

Ok, I like Edwards because of his connectivity (can you say that about a person??) What I mean is his ability to connect to real people and think about them and what they need.

he did the right thing by gays and lesbians at both political and personal risk. If he is willing to take on the religious right so powerfully on that issue he will take on the Rovians on other issues.

11. Kerry

Commitment to the environment - an example - at great political cost with unions, he has been a consistent leader in attempts to get detroit to adopt more strict CAFE standards (ie higher gas mileage).

He's not afraid to take a politically dangerous position on an issue if he feels that it's the right thing to do.

He clearly has lots of attributes, but his Vietnam experience gives him an unmatched credibility on national security issues, which in these dangerous times is paramount.
