Let's get up, dust ourselves off and stand tall...
I know that this has been a brutal couple of months. Last night, I saw just how foolish many of those who voted can be, and they will pay dearly for putting an ancient actor in Sacramento. But that is history now, and it is time to gather a breath, get up, dust ourselves off and stand tall.

This ambush to democracy will prove to be another nail in the coffin of the GOP. AS will not be able to anything with the CA legislature, and he will fall flat on his face. Everything in CA will be scrutinized by the media, and it is important that we ensure that the WH stays in the spotlight. There are several ways we can do this.

Mosty importantly, I urge everyone here to get in touch with their elected officials and demand answers about the CIA leak. Use e-mail, snailmail, faxes and phone calls; contrary to poular belief, these people DO listen to you, you need to be persistant, and savvy, but they do listen when the pressure comes on.

Second, if you have cable, every time a story on the 'election' comes on, if you change to an innocuous station, like the Cartoon Network, (what's the difference, heh), it registers at the Cable station and actually comes up on a server board at the station. Can you imagine what the reaction would be if 10,000 or 50,000 people suddenly change stations each time the CA fiasco is mentioned? I know, it doesn't seem like much, but it is something that will be noticed at the stations, I can guarantee that.

Remember the local population. Every time I get a chance, I remind people just how lousy a president we have. I take my time, and do not attack bush outright, it is important that people do not feel like they are making a decision under duress, they must convince themselves that voting bush out of office is the right thing to do.

I am in constant contact with my local news outlets. I've had 12 letters published in the local paper, (I am thinking about asking them for a job), and have been on the local call in radio station on several occasions. In each case, I have had my say, AND offered an alternative answer. By using these two sources, I have become somewhat of a "celebrity" in this small city of 23,000 in Northeastern Nebraska. Lot's of people don't agree with all I have to say, (I'd be terrified if they did), but I plant seeds; i.e., every time I hear someone putting down Hillary, I ask, "what did she do that ticks you off so much"? Then I give them plenty of time to answer, and listen closely, just in case there is a valid point they make, (haven't heard one yet); and surprise, they suddenly figure out, on their own, that their arguments have no merit.

So now....after this fiasco in CA; let's get up dust ourselves off, stand tall and get back to work.

Thanks for hearing me out.

4. Anger is fine, it motivates...
just don't carry your anger over to those you are trying to get out and vote.

Thanks for the reminder!

2. I really dont understand why people are depressed about this
Sure the whole recal thing was a farce. However Davis was no great govenor. I can completely understand people wanting him out of office. I think Dems made a mistake with not offering a better alternative. However Arnold is no Republican california has not rebeled against democrats yet. They chose to get rid of davis. Of the choices they had to do the job arnold was the most atractive to them. Bustamonte was unispiring from the get go. I find it as no real suprise that the turn out was what it was. Arnolds whole campaign was basically I am a democrat with an R by my name. If california was truely turning republican they would have elected Mclintock he was the true republican and arguably the most qualified for the job of govenor. His sound defeat should bring renewed confirmation that califormia is secure in dem hands. After all the legislature is still solidly Dem arnold cant do anything the dems dont aprove of in general it still has to go through the legislature. So they chose to take advantage of the situation and kick out Davis who had real troubles in his administration. I am noty really suprised nor am I concerned. Much as we may hate arnold for the R next to his name he is not a real republican and californians know this and so do the republicans. Why be depresed it really is a victory for california. Davis was not a great govenor they needed a change. The dems would have been smarter to run a viable democrat instead of trying to ignore Davis's problems.

If mclintock had won then I would be worrieed. Even though I truely believe of the candidates for govenor Mclintock was truely the best candidate in the field. I dont agree with him for the most part but he is a solid republican a true republican not the RINO Arnold is.

Dont be depressed be happy. California has a chance at change and they clearly need something. I wish them the best and hope arnold now stands up and does some good for california. The legislature wont let him run rampant.

The one bad thing that could happen is arnold could propose sensible legislation and the CA dems could out of petulance block it. To be held up to scrutiny come election time as obstructionists. This could really hurt california later on. Time will tell I wish them the best.

3. the point of the recall...
was that Issa could buy it. Plain and simple, that is the situation.

What this showed the people in DC is that the Dem party is in 'breakdown'. While I don't believe that foer a minute, it is what the bushie's will see.

Beyond that, CA is not getting the greatest of people to run the state. I agree that the McClintock crush is telling, but a precedent was set, and that is where our problems lie.

It is imperative, that as time goes by, and we eventually get a candidate, that we do not fracture into a thousand little pieces. there is nothing to be gained by that, we must go into this election with the full spirit of Solidarity and get rid of the bushite's.

This is why I call for getting up and getting back to work. We need to get everyone we know out to vote. We can get rid of this sham of an admin, but we need to work at it.
