I met Howard Dean yesterday at the Portsmouth, NH rally
It was awesome!

He gave a great rally speech and my fellow Norwich, CT Dean Meetup coordinator and I waited to greet him after the speech. He is definitely very professional but also very personably, energetic but respected everyone who met him. Can see the "doctor who cares about his patient" in him still. It was refreshing to look in his eyes and see a human being and not a psychopath. When he speaks on issues, especially outside of his speeches, he comes across as sincere in his beliefs. He definitely likes meeting people and that energizes the crowd.

We asked him if he plans on coming to Connecticut and he said, "Yes." They are still in the planning stages but he is definitely coming to Connecticut. Yipee!

Um, it kind of sounds like you have looked in his eyes before and saw him as a psychopath. I hope that is not what you are trying to say, but if it is, I guess he's doing better ;).

2. I wasn't referring to Howard Dean as a psychopath but
the kooks in Connecticut like Giordano, the ex-mayor of Waterbury who ran Waterbury into bankruptcy and then was arrested and convicted of child sexual molestation. You could see in Giordano's eyes that he was nuts. Bush's eyes also show psychosis.

Dean looks energetic, happy, and confident in himself without a whiff of arrogance. He's a fighter and a champion with honor.

This was the first time I met Dean in person. I've seen him on TV and the web and that was enough to keep me excited about him, but meeting him in person was an outstanding experience. When meeting people publicly and in person, politicians can't edit out parts they don't want to show you. He's a natural with people and his energy and sincerity are the keys to his charisma.

3. I know what you mean
I didn't talk to him when I was at the Austin rally, but I did stand back and observe how he talked with the others and I was impressed. I guess I'm so use to the 'smile and nod your head then kiss the babies for the camera' type candidates and he was the exact opposite. It's hard to accurately describe...very down to earth. His ears were open - that's the best way I can describe it.

How weird do you think it is for his previous patients right now? I don't know what I would think if my doctor ran for President. What about his wife's current patients? Do they wonder if their doctor will someday be the First Lady? I never thought about this before...pretty funny.

4. Congrats! and Good for you! How excited I would be if
I would be able to do that! So I am really excited for you and your buddy!

Nothing like meeting someone in person to see the Real Deal!

I hope if Dean gets the nomination that he will be able to visit all 50 states. I know that's asking a lot but I think it is importante!!

:kick:
