Galaxies of stars are twinkling for George W. Bush
Sunday, August 15, 2004

Take that, Ben Affleck.

Much attention has been focused on actors and performers who support Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry's presidential bid. But much of Hollywood are actively backing President George Bush, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported last week.

The list includes comedian and Pittsburgh native Dennis Miller and wrestler/actor "The Rock."

Actors Freddie Prinze Jr., Bruce Willis, Dennis Hopper, Tony Sirico, Angie Harmon, Robert Duvall, Jason Priestley, Bo Derek, Shannen Doherty and Kelsey Grammar also are in the president's corner.

And let's not forget performers Wayne Newton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kid Rock, Ricky Martin, Britney Spears, Ted Nugent, Steven Tyler, Sara Evans, Lee Ann Womack and the Gatlin Brothers.

Well, except for Roger Duvall and Dennis Hopper I am very underwhelmed. What a bunch of losers

1. Dennis Hopper? I'm so ashamed of him.
But that ain't exactly "much" of Hollywood.

3. A lot of "surrendering to a higher authority" in that list
I say good on them that they got over their troubles but too many "converts" start thinking everyone else is like them.

5. Oh darn, Bush always gets the B-grade actors.
:eyes:

It is fair to call Steve Tyler a "whoremaster".

7. The article doesn't explain exactly how those stars plan to
help Kerry.

Bruce Springsteen is touring and giving the profits to ACT.

Will Steven Tyler do something similar for Bush?

8. It isn't clear whether the stars listed in the article are actually
doing something for George W. Bush, or if the reporter just listed a bunch of Republican celebrities.

9. They are afraid
not to be republican. The whole industry is pretty scared at this point. Afraid that if they get on the wrong side, they won't be able to work. Like the media.
