KLSD San Diego? Get real!

They're saying KLSD stands for K Left San Diego. Ha ha.

Clear Channel is terrified.

Yes, they want the market share and ratings they know they can get from Air America Radio, but what if somebody on the right accidentally listens to Randi Rhodes and gets converted?

So they changed the station call sign from KPOP to KLSD. That way they can frighten off all the wingnuts who will think the station is just drugged out hippies.

So far it doesn't seem to be working. Clueless people are calling in wondering what's going on. And Randi is converting them as always.

Actually, after 15 years of dead air behind the media iron curtain, when I had to rely on shortwave, the internet, and pirate radio, I wouldn't care if they called it KBUM. But they don't seem to carry the entire Randi Rhodes show, and the internet stream doesn't have as many ads, so I still prefer to listen online. But it is a good feeling to be able to turn on an AM station after all these years, and I'm glad that Randi is reaching people who don't have computers.

KLSD? Well, maybe people who've drunk the cool-aid all these years should try tripping for a change. Clear Channel radio, KLSD San Diego, signing off....
