USM's right wing media digest volume 1
Edited on Sat Aug-28-04 02:16 PM by wwwunspunmediaorg
Hey fellow DUers. I've decided that since I read many conservative news sites daily when I'm bored, I might as well start posting links to the funniest ones i find and then give my personal thoughts on them. The first target: Townhall.

a link from townhall brought me to this: http://www.massnews.com/2004_editions/08_august/082504_kerry_purple_heart.htm check the advertisment in the upper left corner: the link goes to a book that says that The NYT was secretly behind the gay marriage ruling in Massachussetes. Seriously, I'm not making this stuff up.

A link to some of Heritage's "research" heh heh: http://www.heritage.org/Research/Taxes/bg1791.cfm

Summary: Rich people shouldn't be taxed because we think they work harder. Poor people are just lazy and stupid.

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/douggiles/dg20040828.shtml This column is just hilarious: The idiot columnists at Townhall think that all of O'Neill and his cohort Jerome (catholics are child-molesters) Corsi have to say is true... I wonder what they say to this...http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/08/27/barnes/index_np.html

Oh wait, its all total lies from the liberal media.

This is by far one of the most hilarious conservative articles ever:
http://www.cei.org/gencon/019,04177.cfm A column from an oil/gas industry front group says that the epidemic of obesity in our country means that we are doing things right.

Perhaps the single dumbest article I've ever found on the townhall.com:
http://www.townhall.com/bookclub/woodward.html

Heh heres a quote:
"The movement challenging Darwinism is called "Intelligent Design" (Design). Design proponents argue that the empirical evidence ostensibly proving that evolution is true is sketchy at best and outright false at worst. They assert that Darwinism is not science at all, but a cosmology built on the foundation of nineteenth century philosophical materialism"

Read it for yourself. I can't believe how ignorant the author is of any scientific theory.

1. My favorite this week-
direct from the Republican National Committee website ....]

"NEXT WEEK, people who hate Republicans plan to release swarms of mice in New York City to terrorize delegates to the National Republican Convention.

"Republican-haters plan on dressing up as RNC volunteers, and giving false directions to little blue hair ladies from Kansas, sending them into the sectors of New York City that are unfit for human habitation.

"They plan on throwing pies and Lord knows what else at Republican visitors to the city. Prostitutes with AIDS plan to seduce Republican visitors, and discourage the use of condoms ...."

go to the Republican National Committee site
www.rnc.org/rncresearch/read.aspx?ID=4576 and click on "protesters supporting Kerry. or just go here-
http://www.theunionleader.com/articles_showfast.html?article=42692

There is a arguement for Unintelligent Design-
http://www.theshrubbery.com/udn/

" There have been 23 elephant-like animals
in history, and yet only two survive today (and we add, they're not doing very well). Clearly, this is
the mark of an all-powerful creator who is stuck on the same stupid idea and can't figure out why the
hell they keep dying off."

yeah, the last thing we want people to have to look at is poor people and urban poverty, let alone be in that part of the city! We'll just say that our tax cuts for the super-rich will help them somehow someday and hope that they don't come anywhere near our convention.
