So glad Steve Earle is doing political stuff these days

I remember briefly meeting Steve Earle in Madison when he was playing at a media reform event (http://www.livedaily.com/news/5613.html) and we talked about if he was possibly going to do some songs of political import anytime soon. He was a bit taken aback by the treatment that the Dixie Chicks had gotten from the southern country music factory world. But he was thinking about it...

It's a good thing he did. I heard Steve's new tune, Revolution Starts Now on Morning Sedition on Air America Radio and thought about how great the tune was.

Steve has a 21st Century Woodie Guthrie thang happenin'.

1. Whether one agrees with him or not....
He is a true American Patriot. He makes it safer for democracy with the things he does do and we need more like him.
