Interesting Tidbits from ABC Note - media bias in favor of Bush?
Interesting Tidbits from ABC Note

ABCNote says "wobbling Kerry campaign" "dissension-wracked" from poll drop as GOP sells "keep us safer"

And suggests that GOP thinks that lies - as in "bitter, misleading attacks on John Kerry -are just fine if they are done in a "light" way with "humor."

And suggests the the media will latch onto some Rove pretend news on Wednesday so as to bury Kerry's Wednesday's national security speech.

If Kerry Edwards just quote Bush's admission that he made a "miscalculation of what the conditions would be" in post-war Iraq, will the media refuse to use the word "miscalculation" in their coverage of the day's events? Indeed will the media allow Kerry Edwards to get air time if they repeat the response by Bush to the question can the war on terrorism be won, "I don't think you can win it."

Will the media ever ask Bush at what point he would raise taxes - at what deficit level - and who he would raise taxes on? - and not let him get away with his standard "There's no need to answer a hypothetical."

Will the media allow Bush to never give any specifics as to what he would do in a second term? "Bush advisors said the president wanted to maintain a balance between revealing enough of an agenda to reassure voters that he hadn't run out of ideas for a second term, while avoiding specifics that could provide a tempting target for Kerry and his Democratic presidential campaign."

AND FINALLY:
Bush said in his eulogy that "Ronald Reagan believed that people were basically good, and had the right to be free. He believed that bigotry and prejudice were the worst things a person could be guilty of. He believed in the Golden Rule and in the power of prayer. He believed that America was not just a place in the world, but the hope of the world. As Ronald Wilson Reagan goes his way, we are left with a joyful hope he shared."

MY COMMENT - DOES THE GOP OWN THE MOTHERHOOD AND APPLE PIE LANGUAGE IN US POLITICS?
