Peter Jennings declared his intention to kill the "can't win" story
The other night, he introduced Terry Moran's story on Bush's "we can't win" quote, and the White House's "clarification" of it, with a very reluctant and skeptical tone. He conveyed the impression that he didn't think much of the story.

Moran ended his piece by saying Bush's statement was going to have an impact on the campaign. Jennings responded, "for one day, anyway." As if to say, World News Tonight had concluded its coverage of Bush's alarming statement.

It seems Kerry is not done with this. I'm going to be watching Jennings and see how/whether he reports Kerry's response.

1. I would bet my first born......
that if Kerry said this he would be blasted for flip flopping and not being decisive....it would be a nightmare! But Bush says it and the media gives Bush just one of the many passes they have given him the past 3 years....man, when a politician can get away with flip flops and lies, the sky is the limit and your opponent has no chance!

3. I'll put mine up for a double or nothing.
I've been fuming about this all day, and sent emails to the network and cable news about it. This has come up at least 3 times in the last hour between CNN and MSNBC, and no one has said flip flop. On top of all the other lies being spewed and never challenged by the media whores, and MSNBC running the not so Swift ads- its had me screaming like a madman at the tv.
My wife threw me out of the room and wont let me watch anymore RNC. So Ill be here at the puter with AAR on my headphones. It is for the better really, I think I was starting to make the kids nervous.
