Okay, I enjoyed what I saw of the "movie" on Comedy Central. Funny stuff.
Later on, I found out that "Larry the Cable Guy" is an unapologetic rightie.
Last night, I watched the "Blue Collar TV" first hour (second hour was "Here's Your Sign" Bill Engvall, but I had to get ready for bed).
So, Mr. Unabashed Rightie "Larry the Cable Guy" does a lot of shtick, a good portion of it bodily (potty) humor. Quite a lot of it was using variations of the word "Fart", including a bit where he's reading "politically correct" fairy tales to a group of kids.
Now, this is the 8 o'clock hour. Family hour. Righties are all about Family Values, right? Well, if Howard Stern played his "Fartman" intro theme song, I bet he'd get a lot of complaints lodged at the FCC, right?
Other notes about the BCTV: Outtake included Jeff Foxworthy running around with his pants around his ankles. One skit was about a family proud of their 13-year old dance contest winner who bumped and ground her snatch against JF's face in the manner of a pole dancer. Bill Engvall used the pottery sketch to make clay dog poo, while Larry is bleeped saying "Shit" when the thrown clay spins off the wheel and into his groin.
So, where's the Family Values in that?
