Hardball piece highlights our confusion between news and entertainment
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 05:23 PM by pinto
Today's Hardball piece, highlighting a "West Wing" snip that features a fictional Matthews interview of Alan Alda as President, segues to a live discussion between Matthews and Alda, as themselves.

Yeah, it was obvious fluff and cleverly done.

I thought it was a good reminder, as well, that most cable "news commentary" shows are also entertainment, and can be taken with a grain of salt.

(update for spell)

1. Well put
and a good and plausible explanation as to why Chris Matthews is actually pretty good in the clip they showed. It's all entertainment.
