MSNBC polls...
MSNBC reported a couple polls a few hours ago. The first said that 53% of Iraqis were opposed to continued Coalition presence in Iraq. The anchor went on to say, "However, another poll shows that 56% of Iraqis say that they are better off now than they were a year ago."

I'll give you a moment to read that last poll. And give it some thought.

Got it yet?

A year ago, WE WERE BOMBING THE SHIT OUT OF THEM. And STILL only barely half the country thinks they're better off now than they were when the war was in full swing? What does that say about the state of their country NOW?

1. lol
I didn't think about that earlier when I heard those results, but you are exactly right. Just finished those one year anniversary celebrations of an unprovoked attack.

2. Bam!
I want opinions! Did MSNBC just not think this through? Or are they continuing the campaign to out-FOX FOX that I thought they'd largely abandoned?

3. They're the enemy now-- I think.
The military has just stepped up an offensive against Iraqi people. Operation Iron Promise is a major offensive against "suspected rebels". http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040317/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_26

Great, so now we are fighting the people we were supposedly liberating (after bombing the hell out of them at the onset of the war).
