Heads Up for Zero Hedge readers/fans....
Edited on Mon Aug-10-09 01:49 PM by KoKo
I don't know if any of you have noticed since ZH put up their new site they've been invaded by a lot of Freepers. I thought it was because ZH had done such good work exposing more about Goldman, Flash Trading, Front Running and the rest that they were getting push back. But then one poster showed up using the Obama "Joker" avatar and started posting racial and crazy Freeper stuff all over the comments and today "Tyler Durden" himself, posted this ugly bombshell.

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/cliff-asness-takes-flagwhitehousecom-and-orwellian-totallitarian-watch-list

Some of the commenters tried to push back against the Freeper screeds but were overwhelmed. One poster even posted the connection of Cliff Asness back to Goldman.

I don't know what's going on there, but the site seems to be something other than what maybe some of us thought. Just what the heck are they up to over there to allow the kind of blatent Freepier Lies to over run the site and then for Durden himself to put up that post for us to attack Obama with the Cliff Asness post.

2. Watching this unfold.........
Since "Tyler Durden" exposed Goldman Sachs front running scheme, he has made enemies in high places. The "forces that be" desperately want to shut him up. The recent influx of "freeper" posters is laughable. Those of us who follow his sight are unlikely to be swayed by ANYTHING the freepers spew forth.

I suspect "Tyler" just wants to give them enough rope to hang themselves. At least I am hoping so.

I am finally seeing through what the administration is attempting to do with the healthcare initiative: Monetize the Service Employees International Union.

It turns out that they are at the root of healthcare nationalization. They are the ones that empty wastebaskets and move gurneys in the hospitals. They want to remove volunteers, like they did in NYC, and then perform less work themselves: "not my job".

In the end patients will die with the SEIC servicing hospitals, because they will refuse to pick up trash, neglect washrooms, never dust ledges, neglect food service, and keep hospital beds and rooms clean. If they don't refuse, they will make it so that their services result are too expensive.

The end result is poor sanitation which leads to patient death through infection.

SEIU just wants more pie.

Of course all of this will result in better healthcare cost control since patients will be dropping away, in spite of the higher labor costs.

I have seen what the SEIU has done to formerly aseptic hospitals. Shame on them.

TD I appreciate the post, but anything political brings out the liberal radicals to protect their far left president. Not much different than what happened in the 1920s and 1930s in Italy, Germany and Russia. Look what happened to those countries afterwards. The financial junkies that read your blog for information will be overwhelmed by the Movepn.org types.

Can only hope that the new people here getting paid-by-the-post happen to like some of these flashy ads.

Interesting.

What this points out is how politicized everything, down our choice of toothepaste everything has become. What is fascinating are the drive bys who with one liner try to deflate debate.

What are your thoughts Tyler on how to manage fight club? US society as a whole is looking more and more like Germany of the 20s adn 30s where roving gangs of communists and national socialists would do battle daily with their street marches, each trying to disrupt the other.

Tyler, I know there is more money in being a Limbaugh clone, Wall street version, but c'mon man, you are going to lose the real traders here.

6. Sadly, Tyler is not an anomaly in the world of finance.
90 percent of the people in this field are right wing lunatics, politically.

This isn't really news since he's spewed rw talking points before. On economics, we mostly agree, on politics we mostly disagree. That's life.

7. Then he's not hoping to attract new "eyeballs" ...he is a trader and just wants
to do articles that appeal to them?

Not being a trader ...I wandered over there to his "old site" around February this year. It was cool the articles and investigations he seemed to be doing and some of the "trader talk." It's only recently I've seen the Freeper stuff that's been escalating and then with Tyler's own post today from one of the architects of the movement to disrupt the Town Hall Meetings over Health Insurance Reform.

I think I will not visit that site, anymore. And maybe he can get lots of "eyballs" like FreeRepublic does...but this Dem will not be listing to the spews of the idiot, racist, women hating, misinformed folks who have taken over the comment threads. If I wanted to read Freeper stuff I'd find it...I don't need to be supporting it on a new web site that "claims to be" outing the Wall St. Liars, Thieves and Crooks.

I think he's fake. Has an agenda. But, if you say all traders are like that then a "pox on them."

8. He's criticizing the flag@whitehouse.gov thing
Don't blame him. That's one thing that shouldn't be political at all.

You think this place wouldn't be on fire if Bush had encouraged people to snitch on their neighbors who didn't agree with his policies?
