Free For all Market Tanking
Like the Oil Platform off the coast of Louisiana, our market tanks again today. Big things in Greece going down it seems. Sure. Worth noting.

But so are the multiple positive stories the last two days about OUR economy, which this time doesn't seem to entice those chosen few that drive the markets in this country.

Sure the issues in Greece and the EU are important. But I love how it seems that certain events are cherry picked over others, and have such large effects on our country's economy, your retirement fund, and a companies net worth that may have little to do with any of the happenings in Greece.

It seems, the richies that drive this market are worried their Summer Homes in Greece are risk, or the banks they keep their money in to avoid paying U.S. Taxes might be pilfered.

Free Market my ass. More like a "Free for All".

1. To me there is always a "Chicken Little" aspect to the stock market.

Wall Street seems to be as prone to flying off the handle as DU is.

2. DU doesn't bring down our economy and shell jobs because
whatever factor this particular second is causing investors to shed their shares. It should not be able to do so. The fact that so many people and our economy can so easily act in an irrational manner is the issue.

4. I love the VIX
Making money off of "volitility" expectations of future markets.

Odd or even. Can we invest in whether the Dow will finish odd or even? A black or red roulette if you will for the stock market?

The indicator of the health of our economy just seems to get further away from being...well...an indicator of our economy.

There has to be a better way to invest in our economy in a REAL way. There is...but it's taboo.
