What is the current thinking re: The exact nature of nucleons ?
This question resulted from a question asked me by NNadir in the HYDROGEN/PROTON DEBATE. I know that during radioactive decay when a so called beta or B-particle, which is an electron is emitted, that atom moves one place to the right on the periodic table, which seems to indicate that what was once a neutron is now a proton. Has any knew information come out about all this ? ...Oscar
