Whats the reason for the unusual surface water temps off Valdez Alaska in 2007?

The NOAA ocean buoy temperature monitoring data in the northern hemisphere shows a clear pattern of increasing temperatures over all throughout the monitored areas.

But the surface temperatures at the NOAA buoys off Valzez Alaska have been unusually cool, below average for 2007- contrary to past trends.

Anyone know why this might be?
Were there lots of storms in this area and mixing of cold lower layers with upper?
Was there more mixing for other reasons?
Does the Gulf Stream affect that area and has its pattern changed?
(North Atlantic Oscillation affects the pattern of the Gulf Stream- + or - pattern)
This year has had more negative NAO than usual for recent years,
would this mean colder in that area?

Is this an anomoly with an explanation or data problem or what?
Many sites for 2007 are warmer than average, for some sites the warmest in history.
But not these sites.

1. Ever put ice in a room temperature drink? What happens?

As the ice melts, the drink gets cold.

The Artic is melting, we're told at an alarming rate. That would cool waters according to the prevailing currents.

Of course, the cooling of the drink is only temporary, if allowed to sit, because, after the ice is completely melted, the liquid remaining in the glass will eventually go back up to room temperature.
