Question about recycling
I'm going to start a recycling bin at my house. What kinds of things can you put in it? Just paper and cans?

1. depends on your local recycling facility. They all have different rules.
If you have a city pickup, they usually publish regulations. If you are planning to take it somewhere yourself, you should contact that place to find out what they take.

2. Many communities now recycle a wider range of stuff
Ask about cardboard, pasteboard (e.g., cereal boxes),plastic bottles & milk jugs, glass, newspaper, magazines & catalogs, fabric. Some places will take grass clippings, etc. to compost.

3. depends on your locality
Different places recycle different things and have different sorting requirements.

4. Check with your local recycler
It is different in every locality. My little county takes glass, plastic, and aluminum. In the town where I work, they have bins where you can bring these things, plus a bin for corrogated cardboard. In cities, there are different rules.
