Now your cellphone can be a homing device

If you have a cellphone with you, you can be found.

Through the latest cellphone technology, parents will now be able to discover the whereabouts of their children within 15 seconds.

A new service, run through MTN, promises to track the position of a cellphone simcard with an accuracy of 100m to 200m, if the number of that simcard is registered with them by subscription.

It is similar to a service run by Vodacom, the Look For Me service, but is aimed specifically at child security.

The technology is already in wide use in Britain and Scandinavian countries.

2. Not Always

Some of this technology does NOT need the cell phone to be on, or even have the battery on. All you need is for a light electrical charge to hit the cell phone with enough energy to operate the location device. Can be done while walking through a metal detector.

Now I am NOT saying that all or any Cell phone has this capability at the present time, but the technology is available and not that hard to build into a cell phone (Or any other electrical device if you want to be picky). In fact this can be built into almost ANY OBJECT even your own body.
