It's right windy here in AZ today.
Actually, this entire spring has had quite a few huge cold-front systems blowing through. It's 73F today. In April.

It's weather we can believe in, my friends.

1. Freezing (relatively speaking) and windy in SoCal ...
Feels like Arctic wind -- probably only in the low 50s.
Brrrrrr .... !!

4. Phoenix is pretty nice in the spring
Used to be vast numbers of birds. Does the city still flood all the yards once a week? Every yard used to have a berm around it. One night a week the city would pump water into your yard, then pump it out again in the morning. It was the damndest thing I'd ever seen.

7. Yes, they still do that, at least where the original infrastructure exists.
More recent properties use pop-up sprinklers.

In recent years, it gets pretty hot by April. 95-100F has been normal. Historic normals have been lower, more like this year. You can get an inkling of why people used to love it here. It really was pleasant 9 months out of the year.

A couple years ago, we hit 99F in February.
