Rumors and Reality About Volkswagen's 258 mpg Car
Clearing up the information around Volkswagen's new diesel prototype, which it claims will be the most economical car on the market.

The rumor was that in 2010, Volkswagen would be releasing a one-seater car with a fuel economy of 258 miles to the gallon costing just $600 each.
If it sounds too good to be true that’s because it is. But the truth of the matter is still pretty interesting.

3. Now the trick is to find a 200 mile hill to roll it down.

4. You don't need no 200 mile hill!
If it's a small as I think it is, just drive it the first mile and push it the rest of the way. Look Ma, New York to LA, and 300,000 miles per gallon!!!

6. very interesting. Eliminating weight goes a long way in improving mpg - allows for smaller engines.
