Heard on Danish news that the BP oil spill
helped slow the Gulf Stream and is causing Northern Europe to have a harsh winter.

I know it caused some problems in July but this is the first time I heard it on a National News.
I just heard it so I can't research it but found this

http://www.sott.net/articles/show/212458-Gulf-of-Mexico-Loop-Current-Broken-Risk-of-Global-Climate-Change-By-BP-Oil-Spill-

I have to go to work tonight so I can't work on this.
Anyone else hear about this?

1. No, it's very unlikely
The Gulf Stream is basically an enormous heat engine. The amount of oil spilled in the Gulf wasn't enough to alter the thermodynamic properties of the ocean. The Gulf Stream may be slowing a bit at the moment due to the Arctic Oscillation, but not from the oil spill.

IMO the weather patterns in Europe are being affected by global warming.

2. 'Signs of the Times' is a kook site; anything claimed there is less likely to be true
than if they ignored it. A claim from them back in July means less than nothing. It might still be true, but we need to know what Danish radio said, not what a site pushing 'healing therapies' thinks or claims.

3. The links in thread I gave give Maps dating back two years
I do see an abnormality and its major in regards to the constant
data after I got back from work. Its the one that gives the maps
over the years.

I will look into further..... and produce a Gif

the Danes are not Amerikans.

There was a thread on DU about this a few months ago and it went badly.
