Green anger as Sellafield misses EU deadline
The Green Party has reacted angrily to news the British government has failed to meet an EU deadline for outlining how it plans to clean up a radioactive site at Sellafield.

Reports today said Britain was due to present an action plan on cleaning up the B30 open-air containment pond before June 1, but the document had yet to be received by the European Commission.

Green Party spokesman John Gormley said: “This is par for the course now for Sellafield. They have an appalling track record, we know that they have engaged in cover-ups and that the emissions into the Irish Sea continue.

"This obviously poses a serious threat to the health of the Irish people and it really is about time now that the Irish Government took this problem seriously."

1. Oh please. "Green" parties world wide are abysmal assholes.
Does anyone in any of these head-up-their-ass parties know what a gas chromatograph is? Is their anyone in these anti-environment Green parties who has a remote clue about the risk of carbon dioxide? Does anyone in any of these parties know a damned thing about risk analysis? The fucking pond at Sellafield is the most important environmental problem facing the world today?

This is a great demonstration of how complete scientific illiteracy is not confined to the United States, although that in itself is small consolation.

Right now there is no person on the planet more responsible for the environmental abyss that the world is facing than that mindless psychotic fuck Ralph Nader. It's depressing as hell to see that this nonsense is ever taken seriously.
