Property boom skips 'old township homes'
Township houses often only cost a third of what they would sell for in a "normal" suburban market.

So says a township residential property market report commissioned by the FinMark Trust, Ford Foundation, Micro Finance Regulatory Council, National Housing Finance Corporation, South African National Treasury and USaid.

The findings were released last Friday, and there is nothing that illustrates more what the report says than two nearly identical houses that find themselves on the opposite ends of the property market.
