Dateline did a piece on Cuba and finding Elian Gonzales
They sent a reporter and a camera back to Cuba with a Cuban-American. It's a very sympathetic piece to Cuba. It's bitching about how Americans are only allowed to travel once. A Cuban-American goes back for what might be the last time under the current rules. Thinks the policy is dumb and will not help get rid of Castro.

Interview a Cuban gov't official. Reporter was very respectful, but asked why Cuba couldn't change. Official said the US should leave them alone. He also said Cuba is not a part of America and Cuba should not have to change. America should leave Cuba alone.

They have found Elian's dad. Elians dad videotaped the kid. He is now 10. Still a cute little kid. Only kicker is that Fidel comes to his birthday party. He is a national symbol and is even on display at Communist party rallies. That made me cringe a little. But I respect the advice of the Cuban official and will leave them alone.
