East Timor and Australia are closer to a boundary
agreement after three days of talks in Canberra.

The Timorese and Australian negotiating teams will
resume their talks in Darwin next Wednesday.

A new framework, unveiled last month by the foreign ministers of the two
countries, suggests East Timor would forgo its boundary claims in exchange
for revenue.

That would meet Australia's sovereignty concerns.

but we're a very poor struggling nation and we need that revenue more than the east Timorese...atleast that's what you think listening to our Prime Miniature.

The majority of Australians, even the right wing ones, don't agree with their stance, most of us understand we still owe a debt to the Timorese people from WW2 and for ignoring their suffering under the Indonesian occupation for so long.
