Hand-picked lama praises Beijing's leaders
A 14-year-old boy picked by China to become the second-highest spiritual figure in Tibet used his first ever interview to lavish praise on the communist party, state media reported yesterday.

The 11th Panchen Lama, chosen by Beijing in defiance of a candidate picked by the exiled Dalai Lama, told reporters from Xinhua news agency he was happy with the social stability and economic development in Tibet.

"We wouldn't have made all these achievements without the good leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, the support from all the Chinese people and the painstaking efforts of the Tibetans," he said.

The Relatively Charmed Life Of Neil Bush

During his travels, he met with several Arab princes and enjoyed a private dinner with Jiang Zemin, then China's president, who serenaded Bush with a military song.

In the late '80s and early '90s, Bush embarrassed his father, George H.W. Bush, with his shady dealings as a board member of the infamous Silverado Savings and Loan, whose collapse cost taxpayers $1 billion.

Now Bush has embarrassed his brother George W. Bush with a made-for-the-tabloids divorce that featured paternity rumors, a defamation suit and, believe it or not, allegations of voodoo.

1. and yet the REAL Panchen Lama is still hidden...
Where the hell are they keeping this poor boy?

Did they kill him or what?

He's just a boy; yet they've kept him hidden, or possibly killed.

Poor boys (the "real" Panchen Lama and China's pick); unwitting pawns in international politics.
