A major fact, in the "Armed Soccer Mom" Killing, that most are missing..
Her husband was a parole officer in Berks County and a former prison guard at the State Correctional Institute in Camp Hill. He also had worked part-time for Lebanon County Central Booking.

That tidbit is in last sentence of this news article.

To have those jobs, he had to be "vetted" and "trained" by the state of Pennsylvania to carry his sidearm...

The people that are all excited about her death fail to understand is that THIS was a killing perpetrated by a man, who in their dream world (ONLY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS can have guns), would still have had his gun.

4. Also - she ran a daycare center in her home. WTF? Why would
anyone take their kids to her house??

5. Why not??
Guns are not an issue in the vast majority of the nation.

6. I would not want my children around loaded guns? The article said
she had a loaded glock in her backpack hanging on a door. That would be an issue for me if I entrusted her with the care of my children.

You wish it was not an issue to the vast majority of Americans. That must be an nra talking point.

17. Same silly chart.
That does not prove it's not an issue for a majority of Americans.

19. Sure..
Except the 'issue' for a majority of Americans is to keep the laws the same or relax them.

8. The poor woman was a complete and utter fool.

She has guns lying around loose with kids in the house. She has an estranged husband in the house and was visiting with men on webcams in his face.

But don't confuse the likes of her with the rest of us. Give some women credit for knowing responsible gun ownership.

9. Her mistake was that she hadn't armed herself ENOUGH.
If she'd been slinging a Bushmaster instead of packing a crappy little Glock, this never would've happened.

11. I'm not rolling in any blood, X_Digger.
I've got no blood on my hands whatsoever. The people who've flooded this country with guns are another story.

12. Go find another story of a wife killed by her abusive LEO husband..
.. and try saying "If she'd been slinging a Bushmaster instead of packing a crappy little Glock, this never would've happened."

See how that works out for ya.

14. A ridiculous statement.
This tragedy was caused by the presence of guns in the house. Having more would not have changed anything.

15. She wasn't packing ANYTHING; she was unarmed at the time.
Her gun wasn't even in the same ROOM, according to reports.

Her being unarmed didn't seem to help her in this case. And I fail to see how it would have played out any differently had she been a Sarah Brady disciple and believed that only people in law enforcement LIKE HER HUSBAND should have access to guns...

18. her mistake was living in a milieu where guns and bullshit were normal
walking around a damned kids soccer game with a gun on is no different to me than the tea bag assholes that came to public meetings with guns strapped on. I do remember the umbrage that people took to that. Why is this different? It is no different. She was a gun asshole and it was sad for her to die like this. Her children are alone forever now without either parent. Both of them were gun assholes. No one deserves what happened to her but to discount it as something normal wearing a gun in public and regular American or saying she was underarmed is stupid. What next? Is it real America to bring a howitzer to a public meeting or are we going to pull our heads out of our butts and do something about this shit?

RV, who had/has cops, correctional officers, hunters, gun owners out the wazoo, and troopers in the family and has for years. (I also own guns tucked away and safe. I keep a ten inch knife by my bed as protection. its a helluva lot safer than a gun.)
