By Diana FasanellaA Florida sexual assault victim shot her attacker with a handgun she grabbed from his pocket while being forced to perform oral sex on him.

The Fort Pierce woman told police she was walking down the street when Major Lee Barnes approached her on a bicycle and offered her money for sex, TC Palm reports.

When she declined, Barnes pointed a handgun at her and told her to take off her pants. He searched her private parts for money and took her cell phone before forcing her to her knees to perform oral sex on him.

During the sex act, the woman saw the handgun in Barnes’ pocket and grabbed the weapon. The 19-year-old man lunged at his victim, who then fired the pistol, hitting him in the leg before he fled the area.

The woman then flagged down police, who later were alerted by a local emergency room about a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. When questioned, Barnes said he was the victim of a random shooting before changing his story to having been attacked by an unidentified man.
