The head of Scotland's biggest police force has said alcohol played a major role in 14 murders in his area in the past 10 weeks."

Back in the days when people read newspapers, we'd always turn to the police reports to see what the drunks were up to over the weekend.

Alcohol fuels every imaginable crime, and if people didn't get drunk and stupid the crime rates would drop precipitously. But they will, so they won't. As it has always been, it will always be.
