Future Guns Pot

We have a sort of "Guns of Christmas Future Pot" going at work and I was thinking' we could turn it into a web game . Here is how it works . You put your "dollar" on the day that you figure will be closest to the day on which the first South Texas Technical is sighted , photographed , and blogged .

There are only a couple of rules .

1 It cant be an NFA collector's expensive range toy or deuce and a half gun truck repros , Sarcastic "Your Future" signed parade floats are ineligible . Something a simple rancher with an SOT , trust ,or blessings from a CLEO might throw together in order to go to town or check fences and the like.
2 It has to be a Christmas future gun , not a christmas present gun mounted on a truck that crossed over and then retreated , photographed , and unmolested .

But the -natural- mutation is what we are looking for . So pick a day , it's free .

I'll go with December 15 , 2016 .

Capricious regulatory fiat aside of course . They're always messing around with our fun , those rascals .

6. Tough to beat a water-cooled!

On a technical weight isn't a factor, so for sustained rate, water-cooled is the way to go. Vickers MG platoons used to routinely fire barrages during WW1 of 100,000 rounds per gun in a night.



Here's Ma Deuce's granddaddy, the M1921 water-cooled Browning .50!



On the anti-aircraft mount the condensation can was replaced with a water chest, radiator and a pump with two hoses to the water jacket to circulate the water for even better cooling. While water-cooled guns have gone out of US service, the Russians still put it to good use. The ZSU-23-4 owes its impressive rate of fire to the fact the guns are water cooled.
