Cerabino: Let lawmakers enjoy the fruits of gun freedom
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/cerabino-let-lawmakers-enjoy-the-fruits-of-gun-1207060.html

If we're going to turn Florida into the Wild West, where citizens will walk around with their holstered firearms in plain sight, I propose a modest, but reasonable amendment to the proposed law.

<snip>

Yes, it specifically says that no licensed gun owner in Florida can bring his or her gun to "any meeting of the Legislature or a committee thereof." That seems wrong, in light of how people walking around with their guns on display is supposed to make us all feel safer.

So why do legislators prevent any lawful gun owner from having a gun around them? I asked Caranna.

<snip>

"What are they afraid of?" I asked.

<more>

Floriduh republics hates our freedoms

4. When I open carry
Edited on Sat Feb-19-11 07:46 PM by jpak
In the woods

during hunting season

I wear flame orange clothing that identifies me as a law abiding gun carrying hunter.

When I see someone that is not law enforcement carry in firearms in a public place - I want to know if they are "law abiding" or not.

All law abiding open carriers should have to pass background checks, be permitted and...

wear a pink tutu so everyone knows they are OK

Law abiders will not object

yup

5. I knew it , you're a Sportsman !

When you see a bald headed dude leanin' like a cholo with his street address tattoed in all capitol olde english font around both sides of his neck , do you want to know if he has warrants ? Do you want to know if he has an illegal crime gun on him ?

Do you feel irresistably compelled to ask him ? Do you insinuate he is festooned in such a fashion because becuse he is a needle dicked bug fucker and his prison tattoos are a limited front(a put on as it were ) ?

If not , why ? . It works really well for what's his name that hangs out with the retired volunteer fireman . To hear it told , they have jointly made several grown men both cry , and reconsider their open carry option .

6. As usual, you get it wrong.
In fact, nothing would stop a gun-toting criminal non-hunter from wearing orange clothing... so your "reason" for wearing that type of clothing seem like piss poor reasoning. You wear orange, sometimes by law, for your own protection. Orange clothing makes it difficult for another hunter to mistakenly target you or game in your general direction.

You can't even make simple stamements without being dishonest... jeez. :eyes:

7. In some states, you must display your hunting license in the field
If you want to open carry in public, you can get a background check, a large high visibility carry license, a government issued fluorescent green vest to display it and to easily identify you - from a great distance - as a law abiding gun toter.

Yup

14. Who does that? I'm pretty sure it's illegal for most game in all 50 states...
Now, with a legal 4 or 5-round mag, my AR-15, with a 6.5mm-or better-upper, makes a dandy hunting rifle.

apparently askeered of their shadow on a moonless night.

16. Next thing you know babies will have CCW lisences and carry guns into daycare
The 2A doesn't stop trees from owning guns. Blood will flow down the bayous and stain the white sands pink and locusts will eat all the oranges.

The blood will run in the streets prophecy not only is faith based but sounds very religious in nature. And the outrageously ignorant statements that are deceptive and dependent on the ignorance of the public are very religious in nature as well. The catholic church used this method well for over a thousand years.

17. So the Maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights

The Oaks are much too greedy we will make them give us light

Now there's no more Oak oppression for they passed a noble law

And the Trees are all kept equal

By Hachet, Axe and Saw

It could happen
