speeding ends with gunfire
He yelled at the driver to slow down because there were children playing nearby...The resident and his brother then followed the pickup to another trailer park in the 100 block of Fiesta Lane. A confrontation resulted, and during the argument, Gallegos-Martinez allegedly pulled out a 9mm pistol and pointed it at the men. http://galvestondailynews.com/story/263606

2. parents get pissed at asshats driving like fools around their kids.
I know I do....I've yelled at people and stopped by and voiced my displeasure. I also remember having it done to me as a kid...

5. It sounds as though it was the speeding asshat who had the gun
This part made me chuckle a bit:

"The men said Gallegos-Martinez then pulled the gun’s trigger three times, but nothing happened. On the fourth try, the gun fired, and a bullet struck their vehicle’s windshield.

The man and his brother quickly left the scene and called the police, Boyd said."

I think I might have "quickly left the scene" a bit earlier, rather than stick around to count the failed attempts... :)

4. No points, he lacked creativity.
The old "baby doll on a rope trick" works wonders. You put a doll on a tricycle and then pull it across the road into the path of the oncoming car. It'll seriously mess with the driver's head.
