1. LOL!
Just a couple of weeks ago, I would have been harassing you over your post; since my robbery, however, and my recognition that I was completely powerless while the thug had the gun and I had NOTHING, and my realization that that was wrong and that I had and have the right to have and carry protection, I appreciate your point!

2. Thankfully you are here

Had you a gun the results could have been different when the armed punk robbed you. No shot was fired in your traumatic encounter. Being powerless is very troubling, causing your own demise would have been worse in a bullet exchange.

3. If I had had effective training, and knew what I was doing,
what makes you think that things would have turned out even worse? That psychopath could have shot me in a heartbeat, without blinking an eye. Why should he have had the gun and all the power and myself have nothing? Why should he have the right to own protection and not me? With the proper training, it would likely not have been as bad as you think.

I understand what you're saying, though, because just a couple weeks ago I would have totally agreed with you. There's nothing like the cold press of a gun barrel in your ribs and then your neck, and realizing he has all the power over your life at that moment and you have nothing, to change your perspective. I will never be a victim again!

5. If you can defend yourself with a gun, good for you
...but just something to  about: if everyone was carrying concealed weapons all the time, would the psychopaths just stop their crimes as the "pro-RKBA" crowd insinuates OR would they just start shooting first instead of threatening?

6. If everyone would carry a weapon
wouldn't the people that want to commit crimes take precautions to handle it? Like, shoot at once, without warning so you won't have any chance of self-defense?

4. You said "could have"....
I guess it's possible. However the next punk might not be so nice.
