there were so many alternatives that it really did no good

If they were really serious they would have banned ALL semi-automatic weapons, instead of a select few

4. Why ban all semi autos?
What good would that do? Take it to its logical conclusion, you would have to ban anything but single shots. Is that the way you want to go?
