My step-dad is a retired LAPD officer
55 police officers were killed every year by these weapons

That's weird, seeing as how the FBI says that a total of 62 LEO's in Californa were murdered under all circumstances (including choking, stabbing, run over, etc.) between 1993-2002. :shrug:
