Two Palestinians on their way to carry out suicide attacks in Israel were captured overnight Monday by IDF troops near the West Bank city of Jenin.

The army also apprehended 31 wanted Palestinians in overnight raids throughout the West Bank.

IDF Lt. Col. Mordechai told Israel Radio that the terrorists were nabbed during a routine IDF operation in the Jenin area.

"As long as bombers head out from the West Bank villages, then the residents will have to understand that their life can not go on as normal." Mordechai said.

Not that anyone but a blood-thirsty psycho would bake such an upside down cake of moral equivalence.

And I just KNOW we don't have any blood-thirsty psychos at DU.

5. Give them their wish
After all, it's only fair. Just make sure they harm no one else.

FWIW

EDIT: In the "last month", not just the six days of October.

10. I agree
I found yesterday's Yediot Aharonot cover to be the most depressing I've seen in recent times, and I don't even live there.

The fact that the bomber came through a part of the barrier which is completed is even worse.

Did you read about the News of the day reporter and his wife?

11. She entered by car
The first report said that the bomber entered through a place where there was NO security barrier. Today I heard that she entered in a car with Israeli plates. Not a good omen for the future of Palestinian freedom to enter. None of the bombers speak well of Palestinians, and certainly promote the opposite of tolerance for the Palestinains "right" to enter Israel freely.

I recall something about a day reporter and his wife, but don't remember right now.

12. He and his wife were killed
And the reporters at the scene were phoning and paging him to get him to come and cover the story. He was lying next to them and they didn't realise.

Ze'ev Schiff in Ha'aretz says that security will be upped to check Israeli plated cars and sniffer dogs included.

13. The story
The bombed restaurant was jointly owned by an Israeli Arab and an Israeli Jew. Four Arabs were killed in the attack. A friend of mine was attended in hospital by an Arab doctor. The doctor was unable to speak with the family (of the deceased man) because four people from his village had been killed, murdered in the suicide attack (how do 19 murders not rate mentioning and only suicide of one person is flashed on the screen?) The four were from one family.

Five people from each of two Jewish families were murdered as well.

14. I saw that
Yediot had a picture of both families snapshot style side-by-side, with their names and "murdered" underneath each one.

16. A chilling headline
The photos of the victims are printed like that after every murderous attack. It's heartbreaking to see and happens so often we are numb to the effect.

15. "On their way to suicide attacks..."
How do they know?

I have my doubts about these reports. Avoiding the IDF isn't that hard, and this could simply be propaganda to try to convince people that they are actually doing something.
