Succumbing to their demands
http://www.jnewswire.com/editorial/03/07/030706_succumb.asp

Israel has spent the better part of the past few days grappling with the issue of releasing Palestinian security prisoners from their current accommodations in jails throughout the country.

The average observer would think that, judging by the apparent importance given the subject, the release of Arab terror suspects from Israeli prisons was a primary stipulation of the recently launched Road Map.

And yet, a thorough reading of the Performance-Based Roadmap to a Permanent Two-State Solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict shows that the freeing of murderers, inciters and conspirators is simply not an obligation the agreement places on Israel.

So why is Jerusalem exerting so much energy on the issue?

From the public view, the only perceptible reason is that the government of Ariel Sharon is succumbing to pressure from the PA and its satellite terror groups, who threaten to renew their unfettered campaign of terror if Israel does not meet their demands.

Officials insist Israel is releasing the prisoners as a "goodwill gesture" aimed at bolstering the authority of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas - and many Israelis are prepared to accept this reasoning.

6. Don't worry drdon
Another forum I visit recently changed it's software, it is a bit unnerving at first, most people weren't that happy in fact, but you soon get used to it.

It's probably a bit too clean and pristine to feel like the basement, there is not enough blood splattered on the walls, but I am sure that will change.

8. I wish they would take that guide lines thread
off the top as well, that cuts down on the immediacy of the forum.

It also must have useful to the administrators to bump that thread whenever things got hairy so people would tone down their behaviour. (Perhaps)

I never found where that was on the old Forum, not that I wanted to, but now just sitting down there on the bottom left of a message, it's a bit too easy.

3. I'm fine about releasing prisoners...
especially the ones who were imprisoned on suspicion, not evidence. I'd prefer a fair trial for all of them as peace, hopefully, begins to settle in the Middle East.

12. Hidey-h o to all my I/P pals!
Let's enjoy this new software and get back to textualy destroying each other since that's what we're here for

And for the record, I believe there should be a limited release of prisoners, find all the one's that don't really belong in prison (cause we all know there's a few), then later after the PA gets its shit together they can release the baddies over to the PA.
