4 Bakri family members convicted of hosting suicide bomber

The parents and two cousins of Ibrahim Bakri, who was found guilty of the murders of nine Egged bus passengers in a suicide bombing at the Meron Junction in August 2002, were convicted Wednesday of hosting the terrorist who carried out the bombing.

The four let the bomber, Jihad Hamada, sleep in their homes as well as in a kindergarten in the Galilee village of Ba'aneh.

The Acre Magistrate's Court ruled, however, that the four were unaware of the terrorist's intention to carry out a suicide attack.

Three of the defendants were also convicted of obstructing the course of justice by coordinating versions after the attack to protect Ibrahim Bakri.

1. If they weren't aware of it how can they be convicted of anything

Were there any people in the occupied territories serving on the Jury? Can people in the occupied territories be judges. This looks like a Jim Crow conviction to me. They are being convicted of doing something they didn't know they were doing by a Judge and Jury not made up of their peers.

Your first question would have been answered by reading the article. They were aware that the man was in Israel illegally. That is a crime. One of them also drove the bomber to the junction to get on the bus. Don't you think he knew something was up? The explosives belt was invisible?

Israel does not have a jury trial system. No one from the territories is a judge in the district court.

Your final statement does not correlate with the facts.

that those people were involved in terrorism. Yet they convict them of aiding terrorists? WTF?
