Death in Jerusalem
Palestinian leaders have been promoting the illusion that Islamic radical groups will ultimately transform themselves into peaceful political parties. That fantasy was shattered on Tuesday along with 20 innocent lives when a Hamas terrorist blew up a Jerusalem bus. The bombing occurred at the very moment the Palestinian prime minister, Mahmoud Abbas, was meeting with Islamic radicals in Gaza. If anything positive is to come from this latest atrocity, it will be a conclusive realization by Mr. Abbas that organizations like Hamas and Islamic Jihad have no genuine interest in cease-fire agreements or two-state solutions and must be forcibly put out of the terrorism business. Only then will the American-sponsored road map for peace have a chance of delivering Palestinian statehood.

snip

Hamas described Tuesday's bombing as retaliation for the Israeli Army's killing of one of its militants in June. Hamas is a self-appointed gang of thugs with no right to kill anyone, Israeli or Palestinian. That is how it must be treated by Mr. Abbas and his security chief, Muhammad Dahlan.

20. correct
No smart ass answers, I agree completely. Please let us keep religion out of this. That being said, Islamist means a fanatic who uses a particular religion as an excuse to murder. It does not and should not be used to condem Muslems as a group.

3. that's a long list,
... almost as long as the list of countries in which the US has committed atrocities and killed innocent people. but the death toll from US crimes is much bigger. and don't forget on your list of Muslim conflicts, which ones the US also contributed to.

(i'm ashamed to say i didnt know about 2 of them.)

The dirty little secret needs to be kept hidden.

btw....i'm sure there is a logical explanation
for these coincidences. Many people will point out
there are other terrorists groups in the world-
(however i cant seem to think of any off hand)

6. You can't think of any offhand?
I doubt you would have even tried to think of any, don. It'd ruin that fantasy world where it's only Muslims who are violent. Otherwise the American Christian terrorists who bomb abortion clinics and murder doctors would have sprung straight into yr mind. But then again, maybe you don't define that as terrorism??

32. Well, are you...... really this ignorant?

the thought expressed below is ignorant, isn't that what you are stating...your ignorance of the subject .... or is it something evil.

"btw....i'm sure there is a logical explanation
for these coincidences. Many people will point out
there are other terrorists groups in the world-
(however i cant seem to think of any off hand)"

Here are a few countries:

Japan

Spain

Mexico

Columbia

Sri Lanka

USA

(for starters)

Are you ignorant of the terrorist groups in these countries that are in no way muslim?

Violet has already provided an example for you ..are you still pleading ignorance on the subject?

33. I hope everyone noticed...
Just exactly who it was who replied agreeing with the deleted post that stereotyped Muslims. Interesting to see them showing their true colours. That's why no occassional weak protestations that they think Islam is a beautiful religion and they don't have anything against Muslims comes across as fake and incredibly shallow to me...

7. wow

It doesn't sound as if you are only referring to the Palestinian militants. It sounds more like a condemnation of Islam which it seems you have defined by the actions of extremists. I base this on your addendum wherein you state Islam is not a peaceful religion. This view is prejudicial and inaccurate.

the Bush dogtags are a nice touch, and you never know when you need to know the time at Okinawa.

thought about responding to the first time it was posted, for half of those are subjects of considerable interest to me, but why bother... instead, I'll just paraphrase what the page itself says:--FUCK CONTEXT, DISHONESTY RULES!

12. as for rules...
Ever read these:

COPYRIGHT ISSUES AND BANDWIDTH THEFT

Don't post entire copyrighted articles. If you wish to reference an article, provide a brief excerpt and include a link to the original source. Generally, excerpts should not exceed three or four paragraphs.

Do not plagiarize.

Do not steal someone else's bandwidth by posting images that are hosted on another website. Democratic Underground is a high-traffic website, so posting images from other sites will cause their server load to increase dramatically, and might even cost the website owner money. If you wish to post an image from another website, you must contact the owner of the other website to get their consent.

If you post copyrighted images, always post the source of the image.

Thanks for exposing your ... umm ... real 'views' here.

Holy crap. Have you checked out what the url is? 'Hating Arabs'. Strange that syracusedem is claiming in this thread that it's all their own work yet now is linking directly to where they copied that piece of crap from. Unless they own that site?

Anyway, I noticed that like all predictable bits of bigotry, this list included the gang rapes here and blamed them on Muslims. That's what all the racists here have done too while they conveniently forget that there's been many many rapes carried out by Christians that they strangely enough to refuse to blame on Christians...

19. For once I agree with you
it wasn't Islamists who murdered 3000 Americans, it was a group of Martians 15 of these red planet killers were (by mere happenstance) beamed in from Saudi Arabia! The rest were beamed in from other Arab nations.

31. so what?
If the Soviet Union decided that they were going to bomb Israel over JDL bombings back in the 80's the concept would be denounced as insane and outrageously anti-semetic (and it would be). What is this double standard?

17. Hey everyone, check out SyracuseDemocrat's website!

http://www.ordnancemarine.com/index1.htm

It is quite, uhh, revealing to read the logic behind "Why American's Hate Arabs" (SD has cited the page several times now - it's the one with the long list of what 'Muslims' did)

You can also read here about "the liberal media who abused freedom of the press to kick our country when it was vulnerable and hurting" and how "'antiwar demonstrators' exploit the right of expression to chant anti-American obscenities"

I also love the little advice section explaining: "When you witness firsthand someone burning the American Flag in protest...kick their ass."

Or this gem: "The last thing a twenty year old Marine needs is a bleeding-ass liberal second-guessing them while they down a cold beer at the local club. If this sounds like you, you need your ass kicked."

Finally, the letter from Ted Nugent is quite heart-warming. Thanks for sharing your website with us, Syracuse Democrat. I know I won't forget it.

Jews that actually loved people and followed the teachings.

Yup, the good old days.

"I miss the old left that loved this country, wanted it to do better, marched and fought for the American ideals we cherished, and didn't spit in the wind." - yup them anti-war protesters who got off their ass and went to washington while others created hate sites.
