"Hezbollah funded by Israel" link?

I don't know where I heard this last week but an interviewee on a news program made the assertion Israel provided important funding to the Hezbollah in the early 1980's in an attempt to undermine Arafat.

Is this a proven fact?

2. This was Hamas

When it was part of the Muslim Brotherhood and committed towards a political and not militant solution. This goes back to when Israel was seeking a force (which it hoped would be peaceful) to oppose the militant and secular PLO.
