Gunmen storm Dahlan's wife's hospital

Scores of unidentified gunmen in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday night went on the rampage inside a medical center run by Jalilah Dahlan, wife of Palestinian Authority Civil Affairs Minister Muhammad Dahlan, destroying furniture, computers and other equipment.

Meanwhile, PA security sources in the Gaza Strip said five more
convicted murderers and rapists would be executed within the next few days. Earlier this week, the PA executed four men from the Gaza Strip who had been convicted of murder.

"This attack reflects the state of anarchy and lawlessness, which endangers the lives of people," said Jalilah Dahlan. "About 70 gunmen raided the hospital, shooting into the air and destroying everything in their way." The attack on the medical center coincided with a similar raid on a vacation home in Jericho owned by PA Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei. Dozens of gunmen belonging to various Palestinian groups stormed the luxurious villa after threatening two local guards.

"We're not thugs and we're not mercenaries," one of the gunmen told The Jerusalem Post. "We are freedom fighters and we have many rights. We are only asking that the Palestinian leadership give us all our rights because we are wanted by Israel and our lives are at stake."

1. When you go into a hospital, which presumably has as its purpose

saving lives and helping people, and you destroy the equipment intended to help people, you're thugs. Sort of by definition.

Unless, of course, one of the rights granted to them for trying to kill people is the destruction of life-saving equipment. Or perhaps they're fighting for freedom from hospitals and life-saving equipment?

2. Now that these terrorists are cut off from Israel.....
