Questions surround young American
shown decapitated in video

''He was very sportive had muscles and liked the Internet,'' another hotel worker recalled. ''He usually left the hotel in the morning and returned late, around 10 p.m., usually carrying a sack of beer and mineral water.''

BEER? IN IRAQ?

In addition to talking about Ansar al-Islam, Powell is likely to focus on the presence of known members of Al-Qaeda in Baghdad-controlled areas of Iraq. One key figure is Jordanian Abu Musab Zarqawi, allegedly bin Laden's chief of chemical weapons, who received treatment in Iraq for wounds he suffered in Afghanistan. He is said to have had a leg amputated in a Baghdad hospital.
<snip>
Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz last week categorically denied any charges that his country has links to Al-Qaeda operatives. Aziz told a U.S. television network, "I challenge Bush and his government to present any evidence of that."

Does this video have a leg to stand on?

1. beer in Iraq
http://www.debka.com/article.php?aid=534

The sudden demand in Iraq for Israeli six-packs owes much to the dearth of beer manufacturing in the strictly Muslim Persian Gulf region and the dry heat raging in Baghdad, Tikrit, Mosul and Basra, which makes an iced beer a favorite thirst-quencher for the close to 150,000 American GIs and 15,000 British troops sweltering there in full combat gear. Many Iraqis, too, have taken advantage of the new openness to their geographical west and cultivated a taste for the Israeli brew.

To meet the demand, trucks, loaded with beer produced in Israeli breweries working round the clock, roll nearly 1,000 miles east night by night, through Jordan and over two frontiers..

2. I believe the American soldiers in Iraq..
would create a market foor beer.

Islam forbids alcohol, but since Iraq is comparatively secular, I'm not surprised to hear that some Iraqis might drink it if available.

4. Well, it sort of does
Islam forbids drinking beer, and drinking wine, so some Muslim countries serve a drink that is a mixture of beer and wine, which is not expressly forbidden. Of course, liquor is forbidden, as it is for baptists, so all Muslims avoid it, as do all baptists.

People think Islam is some iron-clad form of religion. That's why we hear all the nonsense like "They are vowed to eliminate all Christians, blablabla." It's just a religion, and in some countries, a political system. People are no more uniform just because they are Muslim than Christians are. Those who hate us don't do so because of their religion, they hate us because we are dropping bombs on their children, torturing their relatives in prison, forcing their soldiers to die in grotesque numbers without even bothering to count those numbers, etc.

That tends to anger people, no matter their religion.

6. Well well well
Israeli beer.
And Berg certainly knew where to get it.

A close inspection of photos from inside the Mosul villa where Qusay and Uday were shot dead by American troops last month reveals beer bottles and a candy wrapper with what looks suspiciously like Hebrew lettering. Ironically, Saddam Hussein’s sons and grandson may have spent their last hours consuming the products of the hated Zionist state. In another odd twist, the troops of the US 101st airborne division may have cracked open beer of the same Macabbee brand while laying Saddam’s heirs to siege.
http://www.debka.com/article.php?aid=534

Well well well.

May 10, 2004: Despite being forbidden alcoholic beverages by their own commanders, and local customs, soldiers are opening and operating bars, and enjoying cold beer in, Iraq. And they are getting away with it.
<snip>
The ability to drink the non-alcoholic stuff in public, while enjoying the company of friends, has become popular. This sort of thing is actually encouraged by Islamic conservatives, because for centuries they have had to tolerate local Christians who could, according to their religious customs, dink alcohol (and often legally produce and sell alcoholic beverages as well.)
http://www.strategypage.com/fyeo/howtomakewar/default.asp?target=htmurph.htm

Well well well.

Sgt. Thomas Richardson, 24, of Newport News, Virginia, was hoping for something a little livelier.
"Imagine a young bachelor used to always drinking, used to the party life and then you come out here," he yelled, banging his fist on the cafeteria table. "I just want a beer! And I want a woman!"
At the Army's 4th Infantry Division headquarters in Saddam's hometown of Tikrit, a salsa band called Fierro Caliente, or Hot Iron, and some rock groups planned to perform at the base in another of Saddam's sprawling palace complexes. Soldiers would toast the New Year with nonalcoholic beer.
http://edition.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/01/01/sprj.nirq.ny.ap/

Well well well.

God’s curse falls on a group of people who deal with alcohol. The one who distils it, the one for whom it has been distilled, the one who drinks it, the one who transports it, the one to whom it has been brought, the one who serves it, the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it, the one who buys it and the one who buys it for someone else.
http://www.islamicvoice.com/march.99/zakir.htm

Well well well.
I guess that pretty much covers the subject of beer in Iraq.
Many thanks to Ant.

17. Long lovely legs
are what this story has.....

We turn to Rense to help keep us updated on the latest info concerning the

Nick Berg Beheading
http://www.rense.com/Datapages/bergdat.htm

But who can compare with the Democratic Underground?

Berg was arrested twice in 2000 for trespassing at Oklahoma U.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=1625766&mesg_id=1625766

which ROUTINELY presents it readers with gleanings such as this:
Today from the Norman city court clerk I obtained a document confirming that Nicholas E. Berg, who reportedly was decapitated by militants in Iraq, was arrested twice for trespassing on the University of Oklahoma campus during the spring of 2000. Earlier, OU police had reported that he had been sleeping on couches around the campus. He appeared to be living as a vagrant during that period. The OUPD actually contacted him six times.
Today I gave the arrest record to the editor of The Norman Transcript.
Friday, I ascertained that Berg had been an OU employee during academic year 2000-2001. The OU personnel directory for that year listed him as a facilities attendant at the Lloyd Noble arena.
The thought crosses one's mind that Berg might have been the one who bought the 9/11 hijacker's airline ticket from the OU library computer terminal. I have not been able to ascertain whether he was ever an OU library employee. Most likely, he would have been a temp.

U.S. had agents inside al-Qaeda
WASHINGTON — U.S. intelligence overheard al-Qaeda operatives discussing a major pending terrorist attack in the weeks prior to Sept. 11 and had agents inside the terror group, but the intercepts and field reports didn't specify where or when a strike might occur, according to U.S. officials.

3. This video will now be used as "evidence"
linking Iraq to al kada, thus linking Iraq to 9/11. Never mind that there is nothing linking al kada to this video or to 9/11 etc etc, so on and so forth.. And the war profiteers remain invisible behind the shroud of the vassals discontent.

9. The story has legs
It has come to our collective attention that the man who is acting as if he is performing an execution appears to have two legs in perfect working condition.

As we all know,
in the last round of bedtime stories,
we were informed that at least one such appendage
had been removed from the body of said gentleman.

Now, the mass media cannot be wrong,
nor can it be mistaken,
nor can it be mislead,
nor can it be lying through it's toothless gums.

So how can this be?
Two minus one leaves one.

Ladies and gentlemen,
we have made an error in assuming that this terrorist,
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi
originally owned only two legs
when
he probably owned three or more.

What's that?
You DARE SCOFF AT THE TRUTH!!!

All girls?
Not so.
Rolf Harris knew of what he sang.

A baby boy born with three legs and two male organs around the hip in the St Elizabeth Hospital in Lusiksiki is to be flown to the Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town on Thursday.
http://iafrica.com/news/sa/256986.htm

So you see how it is that,
thanks to a US missile launched in Afghanistan,
the man in question now has only two legs.
We are not certain about the number of male organs.

Mr Zarqawi was sentenced to death in absentia by a Jordanian court on charges of plotting attacks against US and Israeli targets in the kingdom.
And Spanish officials are also reported to be looking into allegations that he may have been behind the Madrid bombings on 11 March 2004, which killed 191 people.
Little else is known about him - least of all his present whereabouts.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3483089.stm

Hopefully, you can also see why we all so desperately need
a chicken-hawk in charge at a time like this.

A man was driving along a freeway when he noticed a chicken running along side his car. He was amazed to see the chicken keeping up with him because he was doing 50 MPH. He accelerated to 60 and the chicken stayed right next to him. He speeded up to 75 MPH and the chicken passed him up. The man noticed the chicken had three legs. So, he followed to chicken down a road and ended up at a farm. He got out of his car and saw that all the chickens had three legs.
He asked the farmer "What's up with these chickens?"
The farmer said "Well, everybody likes chicken legs. I bred a three legged bird. I'm going to be a millionaire." The man asked him how they tasted.
The farmer said "Don't know, haven't caught one yet."

There is much more to this story than is being told to the public.

Maybe the most disturbing is this article that states the family's company was on a "Right-Wing Enemies List."

7. WHERE IS THE WEBSITE THAT RELEASED THIS VIDEO?
I cannot find it at all.

It must be hiding next to the marriage certificate of
Barbara Kay Bracher and Theodore Olson.
Or perhaps,
it is hidden behind the compassion
of this particular band of conservatives.

Even as the civilized world cringes at the sight of Iraqi prisoner photos, Arabs need to reflect back on their own realities. NOT ONE Arab country has prisons half as civilized as Abu-Ghraib. Human rights are non-existent, and prisons are as horrid as medieval dungeons. The Arabs, therefore, are better off with America and with Bush than with their own leaders.

Woe is me!!!
What shall the poor Iraqi people do
when the Americans retreat on June 30, 2004?

He (Rumsfeld) also reminded the troops that they have helped to "liberate 25 million human beings," and performed acts of kindness and generosity to Iraqis along the way.

Maybe the Iraqis will
FIND THE TRUE SOURCE OF THE BERG VIDEO.

March 02, 2004
The Pentagon drew up still another attack plan, and for the third time, the National Security Council killed it.
Military officials insist their case for attacking Zarqawi’s operation was airtight, but the administration feared destroying the terrorist camp in Iraq could undercut its case for war against Saddam.
The United States did attack the camp at Kirma at the beginning of the war, but it was too late — Zarqawi and many of his followers were gone. “Here’s a case where they waited, they waited too long and now we’re suffering as a result inside Iraq,” Cressey added.
And despite the Bush administration’s tough talk about hitting the terrorists before they strike, Zarqawi’s killing streak continues today.

10. The Quest for the Elusive Website
I am not trying to find the video itself - which is now all over the net.

I am trying to find THE ORIGINAL WEBSITE that released it.
And as far as I can see,
THAT website,
allegedly owned and operated by Muntada al-Ansar
DOES NOT EXIST.
PERIOD.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muntada_al-Ansar

The video of an American civilian being decapitated by an organization linked to Al-Qaeda as revenge for the tortures in Iraq was published on one of Al-Qaeda's websites.
The U.S. government has started to use this video as part of a 'counter attack' too divert attention away from the Iraqi torture scandal. On the other hand, it was discovered that most of the pictures in the hands of U.S. officials are " images of sexual encounters among the soldiers themselves."
http://www.zaman.com/?bl=international&alt=&trh=20040512&hn=8472

:wow: :wow: :wow:
"images of sexual encounters among the soldiers themselves"

Anyway,
the New York Post editorial page is very easy to locate.

It wasn't enough that they slaughtered the young Philadelphia businessman like a sheep and held his severed head aloft as if it were a trophy. No, they filmed the whole thing for the world to see.
Soldiers don't behave like that.
Only cowards and thugs do.
Now it's time to ratchet up the response to this war.
Forget Abu Ghraib.
The abuse committed there by a handful of soldiers was not typical; nor is it acceptable.
But the beheading of Nick Berg is par for the course for al Qaeda.
Of course, the terrorists of Muntada al-Ansar, an al Qaeda offshoot, claimed they were acting in retaliation for the Abu Ghraib abuses.
Bull.
http://nypost.com/postopinion/editorial/20645.htm
Photos: The bodies of Qusay and Uday

Thu., May 13, 2004 Iyar 22, 5764
Berg's body was found Saturday (May 8 2004) near a highway in Baghdad. His execution was filmed on video and made public on an Islamic militant website on Tuesday (May 10, 2004). The video shows five masked men standing over him as he read out a statement, and then putting a knife to his neck. The men then shout "Allahu Akhbar," a scream is heard and they are seen executing him.
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/426866.html
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/editorial/outlook/2566136

It was not immediately possible to verify the authenticity of the tape carried on the Muntada al-Ansar Islamist website, but the CIA was reviewing the video for clues of who was responsible, a US official said. The person killed on the video gave the correct names of Mr Berg's parents.
"Berg's body was found with his hands behind his back and beheaded," said another US official who declined to be identified. "The body was found along a (Baghdad) roadside by a US military patrol."
<snip>
The ritual killing resembled the murder of US reporter Daniel Pearl, beheaded by Islamist militants in Pakistan. Berg's orange overalls were reminiscent of those worn by al Qaeda suspects held by US troops at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/storydisplay.cfm?storyID=3565906&thesection=news&thesubsection=world

Berg's body was found decapitated on May 8, 2004 on a Baghdad overpass by a U.S. military patrol. Berg's family was informed of his death on May 10. Military sources stated publicly at that time that Berg's body showed "signs of trauma", but did not disclose that he had been decapitated.
<snip>
The video contains some apparent inconsistencies which suggest that it may have been been edited extensively by parties unknown. Technical problems in the film may conceal significant facts. The sound is out of sequence with the image, indicating that it may have been recorded separately. The time-stamp display indicates that several edits have been made. A significant discontinuity (over 11 hours) in the video's time-stamp from 2:44:12 to 13:45:47 occurs just after the killing begins. While the video is of poor quality, the sequences showing the beheading after the time jump appear to show very little arterial bleeding associated with the removal of the head, indicating that this act may very likely have been performed post-mortem.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Berg

Tough crowd.

The camera operator made a mistake and missed the moment of his death, which his murderers then re-enacted, before decapitating the reporter.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/05/09/wpearl09.xml&sSheet=/news/2004/05/09/ixworld.html

Berg's family said U.S. State Department officials on Monday had told them Berg's decapitated body was found near a highway in Baghdad on Saturday.
When told about the Web site, Berg's father, brother and sister cried in their front yard in this Philadelphia suburb.
http://www.southcoasttoday.com/daily/05-04/05-12-04/a02wn076.htm

Which bring us back to the quest for the website.
Now I did turn to the Northeast Intelligence Network,
but they do not seem to have THE FACTS straight.

(Wednesday) 12 May 2004 - Al Qaeda, we get the message
A second look at the image showed that it was one of those fake photos. Someone had taken the photo of Ms. England holding the dog leash, and had done some serious image editing, resulting in a particularly gruesome image.
THAT WASN'T THE ONLY IMMAGE OF THE SAME NATURE. THE AL HESBAH WEBSITE WAS SHOWING PHOTOS OF AN ISRAELI SOLDIER, KILLED IN AN ATTACK BY THE PALESTINIANS. THE BLOODY HEAD WAS SO SIMILAR IN NATURE TO TO THAT OF NICK BERG THAT WHEN THE BERG PHOTOS APPEARED, I HAD TO GO BACK AND MAKE SURE THEY WERN'T ONE AND THE SAME.
Someone was trying to send a message. Was it the same group who murdered Nick Berg?
When those images were posted Monday (May 10), Nick Berg was already dead. His body had been discovered at a highway overpass near Baghdad. The media reported that his remains showed obvious signs of trauma.
<snip>
Remember that the next time you see a prisoner who claims to have been humiliated by his American or British captors. At least they walked away. At least they are alive. Their heads are still attached to their bodies.
Nick Berg can’t say the same. Neither can Danny Pearl, nor the young Israeli soldier who was so gruesomely displayed on the internet message boards.
http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/default.asp

(Tuesday) 11 May 2004 - Al Qaeda Beheads American and Releases Video
In a horrific display of barbarism, a masked person claiming to be Abu Mus'ad Al Zarqawi slaughtered American contractor Nick Berg. The video was released on a website that is frequented by followers of Ansar Al Sunnah in Iraq, and almost immediately appeared on a host of other Arabic language jihad websites.
The video showed five men wearing headscarves and black ski masks, standing over a bound man in an orange jumpsuit — similar to a prisoner’s uniform — who identified himself as Nick Berg, a U.S. contractor whose body was found on a highway overpass in Baghdad on Saturday (May 8).
<snip>
Berg's body was found yesterday (Monday, May 10) in Iraq.
Due to the large number of downloads of the video from our website, our ISP requested that we remove the video from their servers. You may now download the video hereor here. Due to the high bandwidth we are currently consuming, you may have to try several times to download. We apologize for the inconvience.

And you see the slaughter, your fighting brothers suspend the head of this unbeliever on one of Baghdad bridges so that they teach a lesson to others from the infidels and serves as a witness to the honour of the Muslims
http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/

When you find a website that is used by terrorists, why don't you just have it taken down?
This is a question we receive often in one form or another. We believe that the sites and forums that espouse terrorism are more valuable where they are, so we can keep them under surveillance and extract data and information from these sites. Even if they are taken down by some other group, they usually reappear elsewhere... which means we have to spend our time searching for them instead of obtaining and analyzing the information they contain.
http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/faq.asp

While the websites run by terror and hate groups are frequently shut down by government authorities on discovery, others are simply monitored -- and some are run as "sting" operations by various intelligence agencies, experts say.
http://www.nbr.co.nz/home/column_article.asp?id=8962&cid=3&cname=Technology
http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/hslinks.asp

So it would appear that homelandsecurityus.com
knew all about this thing BEFORE everyone else.
But where did THEY get the video?
So far, this is the best I have come up with.

4. Can I register a domain and keep my personal information private?
That depends on who you register your name with! If you register one of the old, traditional domains like ".COM", ".NET" or ".ORG", the answer is no. Once you register a domain with them, anyone in the world who wants to know your address or phone number need only type in your domain name to get all the details on you.
If you register a name with SamoaNIC.ws, however, your personal privacy is one of our highest concerns. Your personal contact information is given out only under the strictest of circumstances. What we offer you instead, is a safe and secure way to be contacted. If someone looks up your domain name on our Whois server, and wants to contact you for some reason, they can leave a private message for you through our server. Then, if you want to initiate direct contact, you can do so.
Only under extreme circumstances, such as a legal issue or a trademark dispute, if all other attempts to contact you have failed, will your address and telephone number be disclosed to the disputing party, after they have submitted proof of identification for our records.
Of course, we must disclose any information about any of our customers if ordered to do so by a court of law, or if we are required to do so by law.
http://www.samoanic.ws/faq/general.dhtml

Well then, that is that.
The FBI is NOT about to hunt down
this particular bunch of terrorists via their website.
Not after the heavily edited tape said
whatever it was it said
in whatever language it was
that it said it in.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muntada_al-Ansar
"There's no need to discuss innocence or guilt. We know he's guilty".
-- George W. Bush, referring to the so-called leader of al qaeda.

The speaker introduced himself as Musab al-Zarqawi, but his voice could not immediately be authenticated.
Al-Zarqawi is a Jordanian wanted by the United States for allegedly organizing terrorists to fight U.S. troops in Iraq on behalf of Al-Qaida. U.S. officials have offered a $10 million reward for al-Zarqawi's capture. He purportedly issued a claim of responsibility for last weekend's suicide boat attack on Iraq's oil terminal in the Gulf, in which three American sailors were killed.
Friday's audio tape was broadcast on a Web site known to be a clearinghouse for statements by Al-Qaida and other extremist groups. Earlier this month, a purported al-Zarqawi tape appeared on the same site.
"Yes, there was a plot to demolish the Jordanian General Intelligence building, which is the source of all evils in our home," the voice said. "Jordan has turned itself into a hidden base of supplies for the occupying army in Iraq."
http://frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=13222

However,
others are NOT as fortunate.

BOISE, Idaho -- Internet registration documents were introduced yesterday tying University of Idaho graduate student Sami Omar Al-Hussayen to a number of Web sites that prosecutors claim were part of a network promoting terrorism.
But Matt Williams of Virginia-based Network Solutions said that simply registering a domain name for the Internet did not put that person in control of the name.
Williams told jurors that it was common for people, especially computer experts, to register names for others, who actually control the sites if they are developed.

Beginning at age 11 or 12, research on the geopolitical affairs of several countries began by the founder. It quickly turned into more than a hobby. In December 2002, the author was hired as the youngest geopolitical analyst in the country (at age 16) by Tactical Defense Concepts (www.tdconcepts.com), a maritime-associated security company. Towards the end of June 2003, WorldThreats.com was launched after a suggestion by Ryan’s boss, after viewing his years of intense research and writing.

Around the fall of 2003, Ryan joined the Northeast Intelligence Network (www.homelandsecurityus.com), which specializes in tracking and assessing terrorist threats. Since then, Ryan has been published in WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax.com, StrategyPage.com, WorldTribune.com, HomelandSecurityUS.com, JRNyquist.com, "The Eurasian Politician", and in the Turkistan Newsletter (Turkistan Bulteni). He has appeared on radio shows including WIBG Radio, WorldNetDaily Radioactive with Joseph Farah, and the Jeff Nyquist Program.

December 2002 - age 16
December 2003 - age 17
Here is a sample of the work of Ryan Mauro,
the youngest hired geopolitical analyst in the country.
(You will recall that our attempts to trace the ACTUAL ORIGIN of the videotape of the execution of Nick Berg has led us to the homelandsecurityus.com website. Thus it behooves us to take this juvenile seriously.)

1995
1995 was highlighted by the attack on the Murrah building in Oklahoma City, led by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, anti-government, right-wing terrorists. But should this mean a link to Middle Eastern terrorists should be ruled out? In the minds of most investigators, yes. But they are wrong.

The reporting of Jayna Davis (investigative reporter); Larry Johnson (former deputy director of the State Department’s Office of Counterterrorism); and Patricia Long (former Middle East expert for the DIA) is sure to one day prove them all wrong. As former CIA director James Woolsey said, one day we will be indebted to Davis and her coworkers.<13> Apparently, the evidence of a connection to the Middle East was at one point in the mind of the police. Immediately after the attack, the FBI launched an intense search for men of Middle Eastern origin that reportedly fled the building after the explosion. Later, the search was cancelled.

Davis’ research shows that there a multiple people who saw Middle Easterners with Timothy McVeigh, and the descriptions were so clear that a government sketch was produced. 24 witnesses say they saw about eight Middle Easterners with Nichols and McVeigh during the attack. She records that several employees at the Oklahoma City Property-Management Company claim to have seen a brown Chevy truck being chased by the police outside the office just days prior to the terrorist attack. The owner of the company is Palestinian, with suspected ties to the Palestinian Authority.

Approximately six months prior to the attack, the Palestinian had hired a group of former Iraqi soldiers from the Republican Guard to work at the rental houses. Eyewitnesses reported that on the day of the attack, they were seen in a disturbingly good mood. On April 17th, 1995, the day McVeigh rented the Ryder truck, all the employees were absent from work. In Davis’ investigation, the Iraqi with the most focus is a man named Amad Hussain Hashem al-Hussaini, one of the former Republican Guard members, whose picture is nearly identical to the police sketch made from eyewitness reports of one of the Middle Easterners at the attack. Al-Hussaini has attempted to sue Davis for these allegations, but the case was dismissed.

Al-Hussaini’s left arm has a traditional Republican Guard tattoo symbolizing service during the Gulf War, when Iraq began sponsoring anti-American terrorism. Five witnesses report seeing several of al-Hussaini’s Iraqi workers frequently visiting a motel in Oklahoma City in the months, days and hours before the attack. During the visits, they were often seen with either Nichols or McVeigh. Four days before the attack, two eyewitnesses say they saw McVeigh drinking with al-Hussaini.

On the day of the attack, just hours before the incident, two witnesses say they saw al-Hussaini one block from the Murrah building. Around the same time in the hours up to the attack, one of al-Hussaini’s co-workers was seen in the driver’s seat of a Chevy pickup at an apartment complex near the Murrah building. When police officers found the abandoned truck, it was tripped of identification numbers and body molding used for identification purposes. The owner of the motel frequently visited and an employee both confirm seeing Middle Easterners on the day of the attack, within feet of a large Ryder truck in the parking lot, just hours before the explosion. They described the truck as having an unusual odor of diesel fuel coming from the rear. Minutes after the odor came about, McVeigh returned the room key and drove off with a man—apparently al-Hussaini.

Seven witnesses reported to Jayna Davis that they saw a man similar to al-Hussaini riding with Timothy McVeigh in the Ryder truck directly in front of the Murrah building, just minutes before the fertilizer bomb went off. Al-Hussaini then sped away in a brown Chevrolet pickup truck; precisely matching the FBI’s description of a vehicle that wanted Middle Easterners may be using that day.

After the attack, Al-Hussaini moved from Oklahoma City to work at Boston’s Logan International Airport, where several 9/11 hijackers would meet to seize airliners, including Mohammed Atta.

During the follow-up investigation, it was discovered that Timothy McVeigh had a large collection of phone numbers of Iraqis that he hid. Jayna Davis’ follow-up investigation reveals that 22 witnesses saw an Arab-looking man alongside Terry Nichols and Timothy McVeigh in the minutes and seconds before the bomb detonated. There has been no testimony by a witness that contradicts these claims—the people that saw McVeigh and Nichols alone either had a view that would not allow the viewing of the Iraqi—or they saw the Americans after the bomb detonated. By that time, al-Hussaini had driven off in a different truck. Two local officials say they saw an Arab with a backpack running from the Murrah building as fast as they could, while looking at a watch, in the seconds before the blast.

Davis also says that a source on Capitol Hill gave her a copy of a government warning that a terrorist attack sponsored by either Iran or Iraq was imminent against the mainland, but the warning listed government facilities in Washington DC as the primary target. Although the warning was incorrect in that detail, it does appear that there is classified intelligence linking the Oklahoma City bombing to Middle Eastern terrorists.<14>

A copy of the official's affidavit is in the possession of Chicago attorney David Schippers, the attorney for the House Managers during the Clinton impeachment proceedings.
Another Pentagon official in the office of Assistant Secretary of State, Paul Wolfowitz, has told investigators for Paul Bedard of US News and World Report and also David Schippers that McVeigh and his Iraqi accomplice, Al Hussaini, both called the same Iraqi phone number prior to the OKC bombing. The official also criticized the FBI and DOJ for a cover-up of the Iraqi connection to the OKC bombing for years.

David Schippers, the Republicans' prosecutor, blasted into your living rooms on your TV sets attacking the President and passionately calling for his impeachment over the Monica scandal.
But Schippers -- who has 10 children and a wife of 45 years - hid something from you. Sitting behind him on the floor of the House Judiciary Committee was his secret mistress of 25 years.

A: Yes, unfortunately, that's what they are doing. They are going around talking to all these people. Some of my friends who are federal agents have been told to stay away from this. They are looking in all the wrong places for all the wrong things. I am thoroughly convinced, based upon the material I have received from Jayna, based upon the things told to my agent friends – nothing that is secure or top secret, but purely from material that's available to anyone who wants to look for it – I am thoroughly convinced that there was a dead-bang Middle Eastern connection in the Oklahoma City bombing. I think bin Laden was behind it. I think that there were Middle Eastern people on the scene running away.

In 1986, Jayna Davis graduated at the top of her class from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Broadcast Journalism.
<snip>
Shortly after 9:02 AM on April 19, 1995, Jayna found herself staring at the smoldering shell of the Alfred P. Murrah Building with a photographer by her side recording the unspeakable bloodshed and carnage. The horrifying images were broadcast via satellite to the world, documenting what was deemed America's deadliest terrorist attack of the 20th Century.
Within twenty-four hours, Channel 4’s news director tapped Jayna to cover the FBI’s international manhunt for the perpetrators and the infamous John Doe 2. On June 7, 1995, KFOR-TV broadcast its first story in which the disgruntled Gulf War veteran, Timothy McVeigh, was identified drinking beer with a former Iraqi soldier in an Oklahoma City tavern.

These beer-drinking Jihacoholics are a dangerous lot.
Mohammed was absolutely correct when he said:
God’s curse falls on a group of people who deal with alcohol. The one who distils it, the one for whom it has been distilled, the one who drinks it, the one who transports it, the one to whom it has been brought, the one who serves it, the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it, the one who buys it and the one who buys it for someone else.
Every time we catch up with some alcohol-swigging faker,
he invariably turns out to be a terrorist specializing in bombs, or hijackings, or other weapons of mass destruction.

- Acting upon evidence compiled by Davis, David Schippers (Fmr. Chief Investigator for the Impeachment of Bill Clinton) demanded a June 2001 meeting with General Ashcroft to prevent what he prophetically termed "terrorists blowing up Lower Manhattan."

The London Economist Magazine last week emblazoned its front cover with the two-word headline "Resign, Rumsfeld." In so doing, it succinctly captured the gambit embraced lately by many prominent Democrats, anti-war critics, Bushophobes and opinion elites: seizing upon the pretext of the widely felt need to appease the Arab world in the wake of the Iraqi prison abuse scandal to take out the man who is, arguably, the president's most effective cabinet secretary, Donald Rumsfeld.
The millions of Americans who greatly admire Secretary Rumsfeld and who understand — at least intuitively — the inadvisability of this agenda must respond by making known our desire and national need: "Remain, Rumsfeld."

Iraqi involvement in the 9/11 attacks carries serious implications for judgments about the way that Bush 41 ended the 1991 war. As will be recalled, after 100 hours of a ground war, with Saddam still in power and Republican Guard units escaping across the Euphrates, Bush called for a cease-fire. Colin Powell, then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, pushed for that decision, and Scowcroft backed him, although it was totally unnecessary, and many Arab members of the coalition were astounded at the decision.

Anyone out there who can translate Arabic into English?
Do tell us more about the nature of the products offered here.

In the meantime,
we shall peruse this:

February 17th, 2004
STOCKHOLM - In an apparent attempt to downplay the internal Iraqi dynamics sparking ongoing attacks, the Bush administration has been blaming al-Qaeda for much of the violence.

Key in this effort has been the portrayal of the ultra-orthodox Kurdish group Ansar al Islam and its alleged leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The Bush administration and some of its allies accuse Ansar, long at odds with the secular, western-oriented Kurdish groups allied with the coalition, of close links with al-Qaeda. Zarqawi is seen as the man behind most terror plots that are publicized. But 'facts' keep changing.

According to U.S. Administration pronouncements, Zarqawi was first a ”close associate of bin Laden”. His relationship to bin Laden became ”uncertain” before he was back to being a ”close associate” of bin Laden.

An official U.S. statement declaring Ansar a terrorist group claimed that Zarqawi was a ”senior al Qaeda operative”, but later he was only ”suspected” of being some kind of affiliate. Until two weeks ago he was considered the leader of Ansar al Islam. Now he is thought to be heading a Jordanian extremist group called al Tawhid, and only linked to al-Qaeda and other groups.

The 'facts' vary with the political imperatives of the moment. The Bush administration badly needs to deflect attention from Saddam's much-alleged, but never found weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

However, the circumstances of the video release are also strange. A Reuters journalist in Dubai first named the Muntada al-Ansar al-Islami website as the source for the video – at www.al-ansar.biz.
Although the site has now been shut down, Aljazeera.net looked at the site within 90 minutes of the story breaking – and could find no such video footage.
But Fox News, CNN and the BBC were all able to download the footage from the Arabic-only website and report the story within the hour.

Managing editor Jose Rodriguez warned me Monday, (May 10) "Don't watch it. You won't be able to get it out of your head."
City editor Dave Naylor said: "You don't want to watch it."
So, on Monday, (May 10, BEFORE IT HAD BEEN DISCOVERED) I didn't. I stayed away from the video of the beheading of Nick Berg by Islamist monsters who videotaped and then distributed their murderous act around the world using the Internet.
http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/Columnists/Calgary/Licia_Corbella/2004/05/13/457196.html

THE VIDEO WAS POSTED ON AN AL QAEDA LINKED WEBSITE AND DISCOVERED TUESDAY
(May 11, 2004).
<snip>
A private memorial service for Berg's friends and family is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday at a synagogue in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania. It was not immediately clear when the funeral would be held.
Berg's body arrived Wednesday at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. His parents had requested permission to be at the base when the coffin arrived, but that request was denied.
Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pennsylvania, said that refusal came from the Department of Defense.
http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/05/13/iraq.berg/

Apparently there are several other jihadist sites hosted in Malaysia at the facilities of webserver.com.my where the Berg video was allegedly found.
The PR flacks at this site seem to involve themselves in all aspects of middle eastern conflicts.

"Sheikh Yassin's blood will not have been shed in vain - we call on all the Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades to avenge the sheikh of the Palestinian resistance by striking the tyrant of the century America and its allies," said the statement carried by the www.al-ansar.biz website.

Well, I'm going to give links to websites that have this video, so you can make up your own mind. If you do choose to see watch this video, be forewarned that it's not for the faint of heart. It starts out with a man believed by the CIA to be Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Al-Qaeda's man in Iraq, babbling on for a while, pulling out a knife, sawing off Nick Berg's head as he cries out, and then holding up the severed head for the camera. It's every bit as gruesome as it sounds (although it almost looks fake at the end) and you should think carefully about whether this is something you want to see.
As of earlier today, all these links to the video were up and running. I'm putting 4 of them up because high traffic and I've heard even DOS attacks have taken down some of the pages showing this video.

Prince Faisal Bin Salman's brother is one Prince Ahmed bin Salman, owner of War Emblem, winner of the Kentucky derby in 2002. "Some six weeks earlier, a high-ranking al-Qaida operative captured in Pakistan reportedly had named him as a go-between linking the terrorist organization and the Saudi royal family." Then ... "Three weeks later, War Emblem disappointed in a bid to win the Triple Crown, finishing eighth in the Belmont Stakes. The prince was strangely absent, on business in Saudi Arabia, his racing associates said.

A month after that, the prince was dead at age 43. News accounts said he succumbed to a heart attack in Saudi Arabia."

"His death is deemed suspicious in Posner's and Unger's books because the two other alleged intermediaries named by Zubaydah also died within four months of the interrogation.

Both were relatives of the prince. One died in a one-car crash on the way to the prince's funeral. The other was found in the desert, having apparently died of thirst."

The Duke of York’s role with UK Trade & Investment
Since leaving the Royal Navy in 2001, The Duke of York has taken up a new role as Special Representative for International Trade and Investment. The Duke is working in support of UK Trade & Investment, the government body which supports UK companies trading internationally and encourages foreign investment. In this role The Duke of York undertakes a wide range of official activities, including visits overseas in support of the UK's market, sector and inward investment priorities; leading trade missions; and conducting business-focused tours in the UK regions. The Duke is not paid for his work with UK Trade & Investment.

With the end of hostilities and the final demise of Saddam Hussein's regime, Iraq is now entering into a new era. The priority is now to establish an interim authority in Baghdad and to create a freer, more prosperous Iraq. The focus is now on reconstruction of Iraq and to help the Iraqis rebuild their economy. The Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) is working through it’s economic team on a number of initiatives which will help get the economy going, and provide much-needed jobs. The road to a free and flourishing economy will not be an easy one. But it is one where the private sector has a lot to offer in terms of knowledge and expertise of redevelopment issues, which will be needed as part of Iraq’s reconstruction. The following pages outline the work being undertaken by the Coalition Provisional Authority and the International Community to rebuild the country and its economy and will help identify what role the private sector can play as part of those efforts.

Advertising
Commercial advertising is normally the responsibility of your local representative. Following the huge growth in the number of newspapers since the fall of the Saddam regime, this is by far the most popular format in which to advertise. Although no reliable circulation figures are publicly available, the most popular Arabic newspapers in Baghdad are Al Sabah, Asharq Al Aswat and Azzaman. Their e-mail / Internet addresses are:

http://corporate.albawaba.com/main/site/index.php3?&render=1&action=sidLink&stId=4

The reason I ask is because:
Al Bawaba covers the entire Arab World - all of the countries, all of the time. The company has a long record of being the first to reveal breaking news in a range of areas. For example, before many news agencies even knew Syrian President Assad had married, Al Bawaba was already providing a profile of the new bride. Al Bawaba was also the first to reveal the death of al-Qaeda operatives in Yemen had been the result of a Predator missile strike, prompting an admission from the Pentagon and international media coverage.
Al Bawaba licenses BOTH READY MADE FEEDS (with pre-defined areas of coverage and languages) AND TAILOR-MADE PRODUCTS (coverage of specific topics, companies or personalities). The company's content clients include Reuters, Dow Jones, The Financial Times, Lexis-Nexis, ISI, and many other top information companies.

Al Bawaba is proud to count these top international organizations among its clients
H.M. Government - United Kingdom
http://corporate.albawaba.com/main/site/index.php3?lev<1>=9&page=9&stId=2&static=1

Now that particular al Bawaba webpage has,
emblazoned upon it,
the Royal Arms.

The function of the Royal Coat of Arms is to identify the person who is Head of State. In respect of the United Kingdom, the royal arms are borne only by the Sovereign. They are used in many ways in connection with the administration and government of the country, for instance on coins, in churches and on public buildings. They are familiar to most people as they appear on the products and goods of Royal Warrant holders.
http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/Page400.asp

The Royal Arms may only be used by businesses which are holders of a Royal Warrant. Royal Warrants are a mark of recognition that tradesmen are regular suppliers of goods and services to the Royal households. Strict regulations govern the warrant, which allows the grantee or his company to use the legend 'By Appointment' and display the Royal Arms on his products, such as stationery, advertisements and other printed material, in his or her premises as well as on delivery vehicles. The Royal Warrant Holders Association is the organisation which co-ordinates the system of Royal Warrants, under the guidance of the Royal Household's Lord Chamberlain's Office.
http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/page241.asp

And since we are on this subject:
The Queen has had two Great Seals during her reign. The first was designed by Gilbert Ledward and came into service in 1953. Through long usage and the heat involved in the sealing process, the matrix lost definition. From summer 2001 a new Great Seal, designed by sculptor James Butler and produced by the Royal Mint, has been in use. At a meeting of the Privy Council on 18 July 2001 The Queen handed the new seal matrix over to the Lord High Chancellor, currently Lord Irvine of Lairg, who is the traditional keeper of the Great Seal.
http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/page323.asp
Ahh yes, the year 2001 changed just about everything.
But to return to al Bawaba.

Royal Warrants are granted to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services for a minimum of five consecutive years to The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh or The Prince of Wales. They are advised by the Lord Chamberlain, who is head of the Royal Household and chairman of the Royal Household Tradesmen's Warrants Committee.
<snip>
The warrants are a mark of recognition that tradesmen are regular suppliers of goods and services to the Royal households. Strict regulations govern the warrant, which allows the grantee or his company to use the legend 'By Appointment' and display the Royal Arms on his products, such as stationery, advertisements and other printed material, in his or her premises and on delivery vehicles.

A Royal Warrant is initially granted for five years, after which time it comes up for review by the Royal Household Tradesmen's Warrants Committee. Warrants may not be renewed if the quality or supply for the product or service is insufficient, as far as the relevant Royal Household is concerned. A warrant may, however, be cancelled at any time and is automatically reviewed if the grantee dies or leaves the business, or if the firm goes bankrupt or is sold. There are rules to ensure that high standards are maintained.
http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/Page319.asp

Well then,
that explains why al Bawaba was so very proud to display the royal Arms upon its website.
And it also explains how Reuters got the initial videotape.
But it still leaves with with a rather delicate situation.

London-based SRM (H.H. Saudi Research and Marketing) has developed its own wide area communications network using a 256k satellite link. The system enables it to transmit pages from its editorial offices in Arab Press House, London and print simultaneously in remote printing sites in London; Casablanca, Morocco; Madrid, Spain; Dharan, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Kuwait, Saudi Arabia; Frankfurt, Germany; Marseilles, France; and New York. The remote printing operations allow the company to maintain its leadership presence throughout the Middle East, North Africa and North America.
http://www.newsandtech.com/issues/2000/12-00/int/12-00_televisual.htm

"This is the first network to be allowed to broadcast digital links at up to 512 Kbits/s to multiple printing sites in the region," Shafique Azam, managing director of Gamar Telecommunications, exclusively told CommsMEA in London.
The multi-million dollar network allows the Saudi Arabian publisher to transmit daily their newspaper from Arab Press House in London to Goonhilly Earth Station, some 300 miles away. From there, the satellite beams data to all the printing sites within its footprint. This enables the entire broadsheet to be transmitted in less than an hour.

I considered titling my talk today: "Malaysia-U.S. Defense Cooperation: The Untold Story." The reason is that for many years U.S. and Malaysian forces have cooperated on a wide range of missions with virtually no fanfare or public acknowledgement. And in spite of its success, our bilateral defense relationship seems to be an all too well-kept secret.
So I very much appreciate the chance The Heritage Foundation and the Center for Strategic and International Studies have provided for me to reveal this well-kept secret. I would particularly like to thank Dr. Ed Feulner of Heritage, not only for his kind introduction, but also for his ongoing contributions to enhancing Malaysia-U.S. understanding. I'd like to thank Dr. John Hamre as well, both for the hospitality CSIS is providing today and for his leadership on defense issues. Dr. Hamre may be among the few to whom our bilateral defense cooperation is not in fact a secret.

The issue was brought into international limelight after Screenshots uncovered the al-ansar.biz and qoqaz.com links to Cyberjaya (WEDNESDAY) May 12, with tip-0ff from a little bird named PTK. Opposition leader Lim Kit Siang issued a press statement, quoting Screenshots, and asked the government for clarification. News agencies AFP and Associated Press, together with BBC, circulated Kit Siang's statement worldwide.
Subsequently, on May 13, a search by Malaysiakini revealed that Acme Commerce has also hosted at least six other terrorist-linked websites through one of its business unit, Webserver.com.my (See graphics below, source: Malaysiakini).
The six - al-ansar.biz, ezzedeen.net, qoqaz.com, alsakifah.org, islamicblock.com and h-alali.net - are allegedly affiliated to various Islamic militant groups such as al-Qaeda, Hamas (the Islamic resistant movement in Palestine) and Kavkaz (which is associated with the Chechen rebels in Russia).
All the websites' IP addresses - identity tags given to Internet user gateways by telecommunication companies - are owned by Acme Commerce, Malaysiakini saod.
Later at 7.50pm the same day, Malaysiakini all the sites had been unplugged.
Meanwhile, Star In-Tech chief reporter Raslan Sharif reported May 14 that Acme Commerce’s status as a web-hosting site was listed in an Internet database compiled by a group calling itself the Anti-Terrorism Coalition (ATC).
<snip>
ATC’s so-called Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups contains information on nearly 400 websites and Internet communities, including content summaries and hosting details.
This brought the attention of Johnathan Galt, a Screenshots reader from Fremont, California, who alerted Terror Web watchgroup, with cc to this blogger and Acme Commerce yesterday morning, that Abu Hamza's site was still live at the Cyberjaya webhost's networks. Details can be obtained at Internet Haganah.
http://www.jeffooi.com/archives/001986.php

The sprawling and anarchic nature of the Web makes it easy to operate: just put up a site, run it until it is closed down, and then put it up again somewhere else. One reason why these sites are often closed down is a man named Aaron Weisburd, who operates Internet Haganah (http://internet-haganah.co.il/haganah/, plus many mirror sites to ward off persistent attacks by jihadists). Internet Haganah describes itself as “a volunteer effort to research, report on, and stop the use of the internet as a communications and propaganda tool by Islamist terrorist groups, their supporters and apologists.”
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=11350

According to Andrew Weisburd, Internet Haganah has helped shut down 65 terrorism-related websites in the U.S. and overseas by contacting government officials and hosting companies. Now the organization itself has been shut down by illegal attacks.
Internet Haganah, formed after the U.S. terrorism attacks in 2001, tracks about 50 terrorism-related websites, he said.
Internet Haganah's members are U.S. and Israeli counter-terrorism and Internet experts, Weisburd said.

This is a psychological war, and we can only win it by being steadfast. As progress is made, foreign fighters will be unable to hide. This is the most dangerous time in the Iraq war, and the progress being made is unmistakable – if you choose to see. And so I conclude with a message to the media: The Iraqis are cheerfully watching the progress being made, and we, too, should be seeing it.

Strangely enough, the clearest evidence is in the Iraqi media – the very media we should have been monitoring. The Iraqi media, controlled by the Saddam regime, called for jihad against the United States on Jan. 22, 2001. Among the usual calls for revenge against the U.S., one of Saddam Hussein's favorite columnists predicted on July 21, 2001, that Osama bin Laden would destroy the White House and Pentagon, and "strike America on the arm that is already hurting."

That must be an unrelated coincidence.

Some of us are are STILL wondering
HOW Nick Berg got into Iraq in the first place.

Contractor passes
The US Department of Defense will issue contractor passes to nominated individuals from companies with proof of a contract or sub contract with the DOD (including PMO work). You cannot pre-empt the process.
http://www.trade.uktradeinvest.gov.uk/iraq/whatsnew/overview/introduction.shtml

Reconstruction plans
In November 2003 at Industry Days in the UK and the US the CPA announced plans for the creation of a Program Management Office (PMO). The role of the PMO would be to prioritise and oversee all procurement funded by the U.S. Government appropriation of over $18.6 billion for Iraq reconstruction. However, the amount allocated to communication is about US $200M. The PMO’s contracting activities are reported on their website www.rebuilding-iraq.net.
On January 7, 2004, the PMO released Requests for Proposals (RFPs) on 17 contracts, to be awarded in March 2004. Seven of the contracts are for program management services; one to support the PMO, and one for each of six sectors of work: 1) Electrical, 2) Public Works/Water Resources, 3) Security/Justice, 4) Buildings/Health, 5) Transportation and Communications, and 6) Oil. Ten major design/build construction RFPs fall under the six program sectors.
All PMO (and U.S. agency) solicitations, amendments and awards are posted on the Federal Business Opportunities web site www.fedbizopps.gov. The PMO Web site is posting copies of the RFPs. The Pentagon Renovation Program office, which is the contracting agency issuing the seven program management solicitations on behalf of the PMO, posts its RFPs along with helpful Q&As on its own web site at http://renovation.pentagon.mil
Companies must register with the US Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible to bid for contracts advertised on FedBizOps. This can be done on line at www.ccr.gov
Before preparing full proposals, the PMO is encouraging bidders to submit "Ability to Succeed" documents for initial feedback, which are due within days of the RFPs' release. In general, companies should demonstrate experience, financial capability, high competency of in-country personnel, the ability to positively impact the Iraq economy through capacity-generation and employment, and the capability to proceed quickly.

Thus we now know for a fact that Nick Berg could NOT have obtained work under the name of his apparently non-existent company, Prometheus Methods Tower Services Inc.
Therefore WHAT could have given this young man the idea that he could gain employment in IRAQ - of all places?
It is not as if Iraq has a clarly defined radio systemn nor does it have much in the way of aircraft that might find their passage impeded by communications towers.

AIR HAZARDS CAUSED BY IMPROPERLY MARKED & LIGHTED COMMUNICATIONS TOWERSThe Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has received reports of aircraft collisions withunlighted or improperly lighted communications towers. Accident reports and studies reveal thatradio tower owners and FCC licensees need to be more aware of the need for conformance toFCC issued obstruction marking and lighting specifications......
The FCC intends to continue its close scrutiny of radio towers. Appropriate action, including issuance of fines and/or revocation of the station license, will be taken against the user or ownerof any unauthorized or improperly marked radio tower.
http://www.fcc.gov/Bureaus/Mass_Media/Public_Notices/MDS_Notices/pnmm9138.pdf

Nick Berg installed an antenna at Citadel's Binghamton radio station towers. Larry Hodge hired Berg shortly after he had returned to the U.S. from a January trip to Iraq. Larry Hodge: “The tower business is very competitive. There are many firms we could have chosen in the U.S. But not many are willing to go to Iraq. He was willing to do that.”

HODGE: Well, Nick was the kind of fellow that looked at everything with rose-colored glasses. I don't believe he really understood how evil people could be. He looked for the best in people.
He was a very positive person. HE TREATED HIS EMPLOYEES VERY WELL. HE TREATED HIS CLIENTS, INCLUDING US, VERY WELL. Everything was, "Yes, sir, no, sir."
HE TAUGHT HIS EMPLOYEES TO TREAT THE CLIENT WELL. He was very safe when he was climbing the tower. That's a very dangerous job, and he wouldn't climb if winds were exceeding a certain speed. HE MADE SURE ALL HIS RIGGING WAS SAFE FOR HIS EMPLOYEES.
And he was just a very positive person. Ultimately, that's probably what led him into the difficulty, because he could only see the best in man. But he found the worst.

HEMMER: We've heard so many wonderful things said about this young man, age 26, and what a loss it is for his family and his friends. Curious to know, he traveled alone based on what I can tell, reading his e-mails throughout Iraq. Some suggested he was naive and others say he was fearless. Was he both, was he either?

HODGE: Well, he was eager and fearless. Of course, he had a company from (UNINTELLIGIBLE) Tower Service (ph) and he was looking to build business for that company. THE TOWER BUSINESS IN THE UNITED STATES IS COMPETITIVE, AND A LOT OF PEOPLE WANT JOBS. And Iraq was lucrative in terms of the money over there.
Obviously, much work because of the destruction. And he was looking for work. I THINK HE WAS LOOKING TO SUBCONTRACT WITH SOME LARGER FIRMS. But he really had no particular connection, nor was he under the especial protection of these larger firms. And that's what got him in trouble. He just kind of felt he could wander around there and everybody would be fine and nice. And he just didn't see the danger.

Initially called Andersen Consulting, Accenture was formally established in 1989 when a group of partners from the Consulting division of the various Arthur Andersen firms around the world formed a new organization focused on consulting and technology services related to managing large-scale systems integration and enhancing business processes.
<snip>
On Jan. 1, 2001, the company changed its name to Accenture (from Andersen Consulting) as the result of an arbitrator’s decision in August 2000 that severed the contractual ties between Accenture and Andersen Worldwide Société Coopérative (AWSC). Accenture then launched one of the largest and most successful re-branding campaigns in corporate history. The new name reinforced Accenture’s new positioning and reflected the organization’s further growth and broadened set of capabilities.

What's in a name? Plenty if you're one of the world's largest IT consulting and services firms. Andersen Consulting has introduced Accenture as its new name and brand, effective Jan. 1. In early August, Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting completed their legal separation. The International Court of Arbitration ordered Andersen Consulting to relinquish the Andersen name, requiring the firm to develop and market its services under a new brand by the end of 2000. Andersen Consulting was also directed to pay Arthur Andersen about $1 billion in payments withheld since 1997, when Andersen Consulting began the legal process of splitting itself from parent firm Andersen Worldwide.

Mideast telecom industry heading for Internet 'gold rush'
Dubai |By A Staff Reporter | 14-11-2000
Despite concerns about the regulatory framework, the Middle East's telecommunications sector is set to pass through an Internet-driven "gold rush" in the next five years, according to a report by Andersen Consulting.
About 50 per cent of homes in the region will have Internet connections by 2005, the survey found. The current figure is about two per cent. Andersen Consulting, to be renamed Accenture on January 1, has just issued "Middle East and Northern Africa Telecommunications 2005: Ready for the Gold Rush", covering 10 countries.

Saudi Qaeda Man Calls for Killing Americans-Website
Thu Apr 8, 4:02 AM ET
By Ghaida Ghantous
DUBAI (Reuters) - One of Saudi Arabia's most wanted al Qaeda militants has called on Muslims to kill Americans everywhere and vowed attacks against Arab leaders allied to Washington, according to a video carried on an Islamist Web Site.
A masked man identified as Abdulaziz al-Muqrin in a video on the Dirasat Web Site said Americans had yet to feel the "real fires of battle." In an apparent reference to a guerrilla uprising in Iraq (news - web sites), he said Washington faced another Vietnam.
"O mujahideen, fight the Americans everywhere and fight the Americans with all your might and capabilities. Terrorise them as they have terrorised your brothers," the man said.
There was no independent confirmation of the identity of the figure whose brown cloth mask obscured all but his eyes.
"O mujahideen this is your day, your jihad, and this is your enemy occupying your land, turning it into bases to fight Islam and Muslims, and controlling apostate agents. So fight them until...you only see blood and body parts as they have done to your brothers in Palestine, Afghanistan (news - web sites) and Iraq in their battles in the Muslim peninsula," the man said.
The Web site has in the past carried statements purporting to be from Saudi-born al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden (news - web sites), widely believed to be behind September 11 attacks on the United States, and other officials of the militant network.
The video was posted on the Web Site as U.S.-led forces faced growing rebellion from both Sunni and Shi'ite guerrillas in Iraq. The fighting that has killed some 35 soldiers and at least 200 Iraqis in three days has thrown into doubt plans for a handover of sovereignty to Iraqis on June 30.

"Bin Laden tape" offers truce to Europe
Thu 15 April, 2004 11:57
By Ghaida Ghantous
DUBAI (Reuters) - A purported audio tape by Osama bin Laden, aired on Arab television, has offered a truce to Europeans if they pull troops out of Muslim nations but vowed to continue fighting the United States and Israel.
The voice on the tape, which sounded like that on previous broadcasts believed to be genuine, also said that the March 11 train bombings in Madrid that killed 191 people were retaliation for Spain's role in Iraq, Afghanistan and with the Palestinians.

Purported Qaeda Tape Vows Attacks on U.S. Interests
Apr 27, 10:41 AM (ET)
By Ghaida Ghantous
DUBAI (Reuters) - An audio tape said to be from a senior Saudi al Qaeda leader warned the militant group would carry out "fierce" attacks this year against U.S. interests and urged Muslims to avoid American civilian and military sites.
But the tape by Abdulaziz al-Muqrin, audible Tuesday through a link on the Dirasat Islamist Web site, which carries statements said to come from senior Qaeda and Taliban officials, said last week‘s suicide car bombing of a security building in the Saudi capital Riyadh was not the work of al Qaeda.
The tape was signed off by Muqrin, who is said to have recently taken over leadership of al Qaeda in Saudi Arabia, a key U.S. ally and the world‘s largest oil exporter, after the killing of former top operative Khaled Ali Ali Haj.

Foiled Jordan Attack Not Chemical-'Qaeda Tape'
Fri Apr 30, 2004 04:43 AM ET
By Ghaida Ghantous
DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda planned an attack on Jordanian intelligence services but not using chemical weapons as Amman has charged, according to a new audio tape purportedly from a leading al Qaeda figure aired on Friday.
Jordan said earlier this month it had foiled a major attack that could have killed thousands. The tape purporting to be the voice of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi accused Jordan of lying and of extracting "false" confessions from militants under torture.
Jordanian state television has aired what it said were confessions by captured militants linked to al Qaeda who said they had planned chemical attacks in Jordan, a key U.S. ally.

'Qaeda' Statement Says Helping Militants in Iraq
Friday, May 14, 2004
By Ghaida Ghantous
DUBAI (Reuters) - A top al Qaeda leader in Saudi Arabia said Osama bin Laden's group was helping Muslim militants fighting to expel U.S. forces from Iraq, according to a statement posted on Islamist Web sites on Friday.
It also claimed responsibility for a shooting this month in Saudi Arabia that killed five Westerners and vowed more deadly attacks in the world's largest oil exporter and other Muslim states.
"In our jihad in the Arabian peninsula, we are serving the Iraqi cause and helping the mujahideen there who we are in constant contact with and are supporting," said the statement attributed to Abdulaziz al-Muqrin.
"We seek to confuse the enemy, keep it occupied in its rear bases and foil its future plans along with its Arab allies and despots."
It was not immediately possible to verify the authenticity of the statement, which said Muslim militants had laid low in Kurdistan for a long time and "could not achieve what they are achieving now."
It was referring to Ansar al-Islam, a militant group which held a swathe of territory near the mountainous border between northern Iraq and Iran before being scattered by U.S. and Kurdish troops in last year's Iraq war.
The area had been beyond the control of then-president Saddam Hussein after the 1991 Gulf War, when northern Kurdish regions became autonomous.
Ansar is accused by Washington of being a Qaeda ally and a force behind attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq. Kurdish officials have alleged ties between the group and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, whom Washington calls the leading Qaeda operative in Iraq.
Zarqawi has claimed a string of bombings and killings in Iraq, including last year's assassination of the head of the largest Iraqi Shi'ite group, Ayatollah Mohammed Baqr al-Hakim, and the bombing of the U.N. headquarters in Baghdad.
He also claimed last month's suicide attack on the Basra oil terminal and the CIA believes it was Zarqawi who beheaded U.S. civilian Nick Berg in a video shown on an Islamist Web site this week.

With a reporter like that, who needs the FBI?
Or even the terrorists themselves?
Just asking.....

18. The wayback machine
Looks as though the site did exist at one time. I used the Wayback machine on archive.org. Here's what I got from June 2003 (you can look at it from it's inception in January as well): http://web.archive.org/web/20030619122116/http://www.al-ansar.biz
I can't read Arabic however, so this might be about someone's hobbies or something.

19. Mosul or Baghdad time?
Edited on Mon May-31-04 01:30 PM by DulceDecorum
We have been given to understand that Nick Berg is dead.
We even have videotape of the event.

This videotape is not as compelling as that of the beating of Rodney King, because it exhibits certain inconsistencies and appears to have been spliced together from several sessions.
These inconsistencies are numerous are and have been well documented by a very wide variety of sources.
Let us look at a few of them.

1)
Inconsistencies in the Timeline Edit

WM-----|-----Video Clock-----|-----Screen Shot
0:00 ---|--- nothing ---|-------Arabic letters
0:05 ---|--- 13:26:24 ---|--- Nick Berg speaking
0:09 ---|---- 2:18:33 ---|--- Nick Berg sitting
0:20 ---|---- 2:40:33 ---|--- Speech in Arabic
4:36 ---|---- 2:44:56 ---|--- Speaker pushes Berg over
4:38 ---|--- 13:45:48 ---|--- Decapitation begins
4:43 ---|--- 13:45:52 ---|--- Picture lost
4:44 ---|--- 13:45:59 ---|--- Picture returns, decapitation continues

Well folks,
the reason behind the splicing is really very simple.
I am surprised that no-one here has mentioned it so far.
Dhur.
I will explain for the benefit of those of you who are not well versed in Islam.

First of all,
the body of Nick Berg was found on Saturday, May 8, 2004,
OR
on Monday, May 10, 2004,
depending on who you choose to believe.

Drudge Report report and the Aljazeera report both state "A body found on Monday by US military patrol along a roadside over the weekend was identified as Berg's."
http://www.disinfopedia.org/wiki.phtml?title=Nick_Berg

The last time the family heard from him was on 9 April. His headless body was found near Mosul on 8 May.
http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/4FFA61A3-9C33-4597-A8D9-8079E91F2784.htm

Berg's body arrived at Dover Air Force Base (search ) in Delaware on Wednesday afternoon. His body was found near a highway overpass in Baghdad on Saturday, the same day he was beheaded, U.S. officials said.
<snip>
Berg's killers pushed him to the floor, severed his head and held it up for the camera on the video posted Tuesday. The video was titled "Abu Musab al-Zarqawi shown slaughtering an American," referring to an associate of Usama bin Laden (search) who U.S. officials believe is behind a wave of homicide bombings in Iraq.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,119683,00.html

We are not sure what methods Faux News used to determine the actual date of the death of Nick Berg, but we are assured that they were fair and balanced.
Similarly, we are not entirely sure what became of the head, so we are rather hoping that Charlie Meadows, or Barton Fink, might be more forthcoming about the contents of a certain package.
But I digress.
We were trying to reach an understanding concerning the sliced and diced videotape but in order to do that we really need to know where the incident occurred.

Either
the headless body was found in Mosul,
or
the decapitated body was found near a highway overpass in Baghdad.

For the sake of argument, I have chosen to pinpoint the event as having taken place within the walls of Abu Graib.
Abu Graib is located in Baghdad.
And so let us look at the times of prayer for Baghdad.

Prayer Times Schedule Month: 5/2004, 3-4 / 1425 A.H
Location: Baghdad, IRAQ
Calculation Method: Muslim World League
Juristic Method: Standard
http://www.islamicfinder.org/prayerPrintable.php?city2=Baghdad&state=&id=16534&country2=iraq&zipcode=&start_day_daylight=1&end_day_daylight=1&today_date_flag=&changeTime=16&pmethod=1&HanfiShafi=1&dhuhrInterval=1&maghribInterval=1&dayLight=1&timez=3.0&lang=&prayerCustomize=&fajrTwilight=0&ishaTwilight=0&ishaInterval=0&month=5&year=2004

Well then, if you look at the times for the noonday prayer in Baghdad for that time period,

Fri 07 May 2004 Dhuhr-1:00
Sat 08 May 2004 Dhuhr-12:59
Sun 09 May 2004 Dhuhr-12:59
Mon 10 May 2004 Dhuhr-12:59
Tue 11 May 2004 Dhuhr-12:59
Wed 12 May 2004 Dhuhr-12:59
http://www.islamicfinder.org/prayerDetail.php?country=iraq&city=Baghdad&id=16534&email=&start=0&home=2004-5-31&aversion=&athan=

you will soon determine that the execution must have been interrupted by Adhan (call for prayer).
http://www.naqshbandi.org/prayer/dhuhr.htm

There are five fard or obligatory prayers times in each day. Obligatory refers to their quality for the worshippers who accepts the duty of the salah as their connection between Allah and themselves. The timing and form of observance of each salah is a gift from Allah through the Prophet Muhammad, may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him.
http://suficenter.org/Practices/prayertimes.html

The following eight steps are the pillars or essential elements of Salah, the ritual prayer. All observance of salah includes these essential elements....
1. After a ritual ablution with water (wudu), make your intention to pray. Stand facing the House of God.
http://suficenter.org/Practices/performsalah.html

Wudu
Before offering the prayer one must be in good shape and pure condition. It is necessary to wash the parts of the body which are generally exposed to dirt or dust or smog.
<snip>
Wudu becomes nullified by any of the following:
Natural discharges, i.e., urine, stools, gas, etc...
The flow of blood or pus and the like from any part of the body
Vomiting
Falling asleep;
Losing one's reason by taking drugs or any intoxicating stuff
The touching of a dead body
http://suficenter.org/Practices/wudu.html

So, there you have it folks,
The devotees had to take a prayer break.
And that is why the video is as choppy as their
lights, camera, action.

Managing editor Jose Rodriguez warned me MONDAY, "Don't watch it. You won't be able to get it out of your head."
City editor Dave Naylor said: "You don't want to watch it."
So, on MONDAY, I didn't. I stayed away from the video of the beheading of Nick Berg by Islamist monsters who videotaped and then distributed their murderous act around the world using the Internet.

21. Magellen, Magellen...
...who proved the world was round.

And therefore subject to different times at different points on the globe.

Humans have decided to share the common perception of the time zone - a section of the globe that experience the same approximation of time throughout the zone.

In Calgary, the time zone is called the Mountain Time Zone. At the time I'm writing this, my computer clock says 12:35 (since I'm in the Central Time Zone), but in Calgary, it's actually 11:35.

But in Cairo, it's 8:35 at night. They are in the Bravo Time Zone, also called Eastern European Time. In Russia, they call it Kaliningrad Time. In three hours and 25 minutes, it will be Thursday in Cairo...but will remain Wednesday in Calgary for another eight hours.

Incredible, isn't it? It can be Tuesday for eight hours in Cairo while remaining Monday in Calgary. Damn that Magellen and his infernal voyage...

Once again Ghaida Ghantous of Dubai Reuters has some news for us.

American Shot Dead in Saudi Capital
Sat Jun 12, 2004 01:38 PM ET
By Ghaida Ghantous
RIYADH (Reuters) - A U.S. national was shot dead in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Saturday in the sixth attack on Westerners in six weeks, security and diplomatic sources said.
Separately, police found a car rigged with explosives in a suburb of the capital, Saudi-owned television station Al Arabiya said. It was not immediately clear whether there was any link between the discovery and the late-afternoon shooting.
Witnesses said the American was shot as he parked his car in front of his villa in the suburb of Malazz. "There were bullet holes in the rear window of the car and the driver's window was also shattered," one witness said.
A U.S. embassy spokeswoman said: "The victim is believed to be an American male. There has been a shooting death."
Arabiya said police were chasing suspects in the east of the city. A Saudi Interior Ministry statement confirmed the victim was American.
In Washington, the State Department said the identity of the man was still not known. "We're investigating the circumstances with the Saudis," State Department official Adam Ereli said.
Arabiya gave no details about the discovery of the car bomb, but witnesses saw a car which police were preparing to tow away after cordoning off an area of north Riyadh where an Islamic university is located. Two residential compounds are nearby.

Oooh look!
There's a video!!
Wanna see another snuff film?
The good folks at Northeast Intelligence Network
have ANOTHER one for you.

12 June 2004 - Al Qaeda video shows assassination of American Robert Jacob in Riyadh
In yet another chillingly graphic video obtained by the Northeast Intelligence Network, Al Qaeda shows the assassination of another American citizen at the hands of Islamic militants.
The video, released earlier this afternoon, purports to be from Al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula, the division of Al Qaeda headed by Abu Hagar Al Moqrin. (More details on Moqrin can be found further down this page.)
The video, released earlier this afternoon, purports to be from Al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula, the division of Al Qaeda headed by Abu Hagar Al Moqrin. (More details on Moqrin can be found further down this page.)
According to a notice on the website announcing the release of the video, the video shows "the murder of the American Jew, Robert Jacob, who was an employee Vinnell spy agency."
The video begins with images of injured and dead Arab children.
The scene then changes and shows two men yelling in Arabic, as they chase a man. The man can be heard begging for his life in English in what sounds like an American accent. The victim falls to the ground inside a garage as two men holding guns run towards him, and gun him down. They can then be seen rifling through his pockets.
Jacob was confirmed dead under the identical circumstances earlier this week. No further confirmation as to the vericity of the video is available at this time.
We are making the video available to our readers because we believe it is important that our readers understand the threat that Al Qaeda presents to Americans. We must emphasize that the video is graphic and violent, and is very likely to be disturbing. This video is NOT appropriate for children of any ages.

But HOW in the name of the MI6,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/crime/fighters/mi6.shtml
does the Northeast Intelligence Network
manage to keep getting its hands on
the latest al aqaeda releases?

Repeatedly tossed off the Internet, a website believed to be al Qaeda's primary online method of communication continues to resurface as an uninvited guest on other websites.
Alneda.com first appeared after the Sept. 11 attacks, hosted by legitimate Internet service providers in Malaysia and the United States who promptly evicted the site after being alerted to its contents and purpose.
<snip>
According to Jeremy Reynalds, a freelance writer who has been tracking the movements of Al Neda and is working on a book on terrorism and the Web, Al Neda's news section is not usually updated very regularly.
<snip>
provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute indicates that al Qaeda has often used the Al Neda site to urge terrorists to kill Americans and others, and has on several occasions featured messages purportedly from Osama bin Laden.
Internet Haganah, an association of U.S. and Israeli counterterrorism and Internet experts that tracks terrorist websites and online activity, describes Al Neda in its database as "reportedly the primary website of al Qaeda. Al Qaeda is said to use this site as a means of communicating with their cells."
Out of the several dozen sites Haganah lists, Al Neda is the only one without a live link. Haganah refuses to link directly to Al Neda's current location, noting that "Anyone who needs to know where Al Neda is right now, knows where Al Neda is right now."
The freeloader website moves around so much that interested parties have to be alerted to its latest hiding place through posts on radical Islamic bulletin boards and mailing lists. Reynalds relies on several mailing lists to help him keep up with Al Neda.

Sweet Jesus!
So who is this Jeremy Reynalds anyway?

Jeremy Reynalds was born in England, emigrated to the United States in 1978 and married Sylvia in 1979. They have five boys. Jeremy gave his life to the Lord in 1976 and currently attends Calvary of Albuquerque. He became an American citizen in 1998 and voted in his first general election in 2000.
http://www.joyjunction.org/reynalds.html

His critics say that Jeremy Reynalds and Joy Junction are one and the same. They call him a publicity hound, and accuse him of operating the South Valley mission like his personal fiefdom.
<snip>
For three years, Irene Alvara, her husband, Alex, and their five children have lived in a private room with a shared bathroom in a dormitory on the Joy Junction cam pus. They have only praise for the shelter.
http://www.joyjunction.org/bulletin/forums/showthread.php?s=0749d39dd2168848c9e0e662a279bc93&threadid=18

In addition to his responsibilities at Joy Junction, Jeremy is also a freelance writer. He writes on a freelance basis for “Charisma” Magazine and the Assist News Service (www.assistnews.net), as well as a number of popular internet e-zines such as www.bushcountry.org.

What was the last name of that man Tammy Faye went and married after she divorced Jim Bakker?
Messner?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roe_Messner
I wonder if he has any employee relatives by the name of Jon.....

From his beachfront home, Jon Messner uses his keyboard as a weapon against the enemy's site -- first reported by CNN four months ago -- that posts statements from high-ranking al Qaeda members.
When Al Neda site visitors, who he says he believes are al Qaeda members, discovered the covert operation, they cried "Infidel!"
Messner 's real job? He runs an Internet porn site.
"I created the amateur housewife-next-door genre," he explained. "I bought a digital camera and convinced my wife to get naked for the Internet."
http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/08/08/porn.patriot/

OK OK maybe I should have warned you.
But on the upside,
now your eyes are bigger than those of Tammy Faye.
Before you go on, you might just want to consider installing some of those parental blocking software programs.
RELAX
ALL the posted links are SQUEAKY clean
but the subject matter IS porn.

Apparently, Jon and Cherie Messner got into trouble with Pfizer in 1998 because they were using the word VIAGRA in one of their 120 internet addresses which the couple operate to lead users to their pornographic Web site.
http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,16645,00.html

Messner said he contacted the FBI and told them he was secretly monitoring Internet activity on an al Qaeda site -- offering an opportunity he believes the FBI neglected to capitalize on.
"WE COULD HAVE PUT WHATEVER WE WANT ON THEIR WEB SITE and they would think it was coming from one of their own, not from their enemy," he said.
<snip>
His Porsche and its "WIVES" vanity plates memorializing his success in adult entertainment are, he believes, a testament that he and his family are living the American dream. And, in his own way, Messner said, he is fighting an American war.
http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/08/08/porn.patriot/

So, let us see if we got this correct.
DUBAI Reuters has an employee who worked or works for Accenture
http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2004/6/11/business/8186268&sec=business
and this Ghaida Ghantous is ALWAYS present whenever a video or tape is released by al qaeda.
The al qaeda website has been hacked by some porno guy out of Maryland and he has offered his considerable talents to the FBI.
The al qaeda website whereabouts is known to all those who need to know and that apparently does not include us.
However, it does include some BritAm holyroller who is not about to allow persons he cares about to vote against Bush.
Did we miss anything?
