1. Why did they cover up shooting it down?

Wasn't the air force on some kind of "stand down" in order to allow the planes to hit buildings?

Except in one instance, which would disprove the "stand down" allegation, they successfully shot down a plane, but then covered it up.

So, was the point to shoot down planes or not shoot down planes?

2. Tricky question

You will have to wait for the full documentary to find out the thoughts of the film-makers. Maybe their theory is that 911 happened as described in the commission report, except for the fact that Flight 93 was shot down.

( Among those who are convinced that 911 was an inside job, there´s probably a lot of theories about Flight 93. I can imagine that one theory would be that the first three planes were meant to hit their targets. And the fourth plane was meant to create this heroic story of the passenger revolt. That this story would play its part in creating the right state of mind. )
