What's wrong with this picture

This is a picture of a supposed "impact crater":

Can anyone tell me what is missing?

1. There's no debris in or near the crater from anything that made an impact...
What did I win???

8. Because I love you

I'm sorry, I forgot to add "Anyone but Ghost."

I love you, but I'm not going to discuss the moon with you.

You got the answer I thought would be most common. But frankly, I'm afraid that your reasons for your answer are going to be, um, unique.

If it is the ancient moonmen bullfight ring, then I'd really just prefer not to know about it.

19. "ancient moonmen bullfight ring"?? Pfffttttt.. everyone knows that's the "Creation Crater"..
:eyes:

Ancient spacecraft flew through the cosmos collecting energized Star Dust. Once they got their load of Star Dust, they landed at the Creation Crater and scooped up some Moon Dirt. These ancient astronauts then proceeded to fly to Earth, where they released their payloads of Star Dust and Moon Dirt to be mixed with water and dirt from Earth, thus creating the first race of Super Humans to rule over this planet...

Got ya, didn't I?

What's so difficult to explain about the absence of debris?

Love ya too, man! :hi:

2. Whats wrong is that
the picture is either the surface of the moon or grey playdoh. If it is the moon then the debris floated away into outer space compared to the plane pieces also unscathed by gravity in shanksville, pa which copied your picture to a T.

11. Could you elaborate on that a bit....

It is a lunar crater. The Hohmann crater:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hohmann_(crater)

...which is something of a run-of-the-mill crater.

When you say "the debris floated away into outer space compared to the plane pieces also unscathed by gravity", are you intending to suggest there is no gravity on the moon?

And, what "debris" are you suggesting here? Debris from what?

6. One thing comes to mind
Edited on Fri Apr-03-09 04:53 AM by LARED
No ability to scale. There is no way to tell if the crater is 1" across or 1000 miles.
Same goes for depth.

Picky, picky, picky. Here:

Now, put on your tinfoil and play, "What's wrong with this picture?"
