1. to answer my own question...
It sounds exactly like the kind of thing that Rove is known for, except on a MUCH grander scale. But I'm not sure he personally had the kind of clout needed for such an operation.

I pick Cheney as the mover and shaker behind it, but I think it included the Bushes and Rove as well.

Basically, I believe that the upper echelons of the Republican party carried out the September 11 attacks. Mainly as an immediate opportunity to profit, BIG TIME, from the resulting defense and oil contracts, but also to usher in a one-party state, and all the sublime ugliness that entails.

3. I don't think one single individual is responsible.
It sure looks like Cheney and individuals close to him play a major role in it, but as to responsibility for 9-11 i'd rather go with the transnational crime syndicate, which includes elements within governments, government agencies and corporations all over the world.

20. Good Answer ...
I picked Cheney because I figured that was close enough, but
you filled out the response perfectly.

4. you should have grouped them..Poppy Bush Cheney Baker
more than osama, saddam and atta. rove and dimson less likely but larry "lease" silverstein plays a role.
911 WAS AN INSIDE JOB..OSAMA could not have been successful (if he did it at all)without support from the bush crime family.

5. I voted for Cheney......
although I believe Rumsfield also played a major role. Both these guy's are ruthless motherfuckers who wouldn't think twice about murdering people to further their agenda.

Bush is an idiot, I am sure he was told about the operation, but he wasn't in on the planning. He couldn't plan a birthday party, let alone something on this scale.

That scene in F9/11 where he is told about it, the look on his face screams volumes. And it screams "Guilt." He looked so very guilty.

I think W. might have a little bit of conscience. Just a little though. Not enough to actually stand up against the gang he's aligned with. Including his father. But I may be giving him too much credit even there.

24. You may have misunderstood me.
I am not saying he didn't know about it. I am saying he wasn't in on the planning of it. I firmly believe he KNEW about the attack beforehand.

Kind of like me telling you, I am going to blow up that car over there, You would know the end result but not be involved in the planning.

7. So many good choices
But the perp. for this act needs much deeper tentacles and therefore my pointer goes towards Poppy, who knows nothing about JFK, Wellstone, Iran Contra etc. This feller knows money and cronies. In his criminal mind; oil, military complex and control of gov't all blend seamlessly and any side issues can easily be gobbled up by enterprising pioneers.
cheney is but a fellow pupil of poppie and rummie.

8. You Should have a choice for Halliburton, Bechtel, Exxon.
GE,Raytheon etc. The book "Confessions of an Econonomic Hitman" details how it
is big corporations that mostly pay for black ops. The complicit
officials just execute the orders from the corporate big shots.

Halliburton seems to have benefitted the most.

30. Yes AZCat.. I not just feel. but believe 911 was a false flag
operation, well planned and successful since it did get all (over 90%) Americans to believe osama did it. But what did we learn in the weeks and months (now years) since 911? I learned your president refused to cooperate
with Tom Daschle in forming an investigation, blocked and threatened to withhold documents, stonewalled, and the saddest of all he allowed osama to once again escape. Dec.01 Tora Bora, osama reportedly trapped inside the caves. What does the scumbag do? He pulls back the forces and outsources the supposed capture of osama to the pakistanis.
Then we have the pathetic 911 commission, their failure to adequately answer many many questions leaves their report in the "ludicrous" position. Their failure to allow key people to testify at those rigged hearings leaves the entire report "suspect". Rejecting Dave Schippers appearance seals their fate and credibility for Mr.Schippers of Clinton fame was their man (GOP) and all he had to say was gospel,ie.,2 FBI agents confront hom in July 2001 about "plans to attack America". Schippers does the right thing and reaches out to asscroft who promptly blows him off,so Schippers reaches out to the Whitehouse and they refuse to speak to him. So, my friend there are 100 reasons to believe MY government was behind 911 than osama any day. BTW,show me some evidence osama did it other than the claims by the bush crime family.

... the question had been "Who was responsible for all the deaths on 9/11?" rather than just the attacks?

21. I don't think I could place the responsibility for that...
on just one person. Who do you blame? Bush (while a worthless prick who certainly didn't think Bin Laden was worth watching) was only in office a few months before September 11th and Bin Laden's campaign predates his term. Clearly there is some blame to be laid on his shoulders (and on the shoulders of Condi, Ashcroft, and the whole gang) but U.S. foreign policy as it applies to the Middle East has been pissing people off for a long time.

25. If I had to pick one person for the attacks...
... then I would have picked KSM. But if I had to pick somebody responsible for the deaths, then I would have picked whoever put the explosives in the WTC (I know you disagree), because the two impacts killed about 700 people tops - most of the other 2,000 died in the collapses.

As far as US foreign policy goes, I read somewhere (maybe Imperial Hubris) that the main problem is that US doesn't have a coherent foreign policy. what is US foreign policy based on? Foreign policy to Egypt and Jordan is driven by their "friendship" with Israel, policy to Saudi is determined by oil, to Iran by nuclear proliferation, to Pakistan by the war of terror, to Syria by its opposition of US policy in Iraq. Pakistan is a worse nuclear proliferator than Iran and a worse ally in the war on terror (at least in terms of Al Qaeda) than Pakistan, but Pakistan gets huge subsidies and fighters, whereas Iran and Syria get covert action programs. No wonder they're mad.

32. p.s. even if he didn't know every sordid detail
or ANY of the details he's still responsible for the behavior of his subordinates. The buck stops where it's always stopped and willful ignorance is no excuse.

33. By the looks of this graph I would say
That a majority of DU agrees that 9/11 was an inside job.

Sure there are a few not so reality based people that refuse to accept the facts but you will have that.

Then you have your psyops. These are the people that go from message board to message board spreading their scripted diversions. They try to paint doubt to the 9/11 truthseekers. I see there are a few here.

Christophera has even uncovered one and I have spotted another. I will withhold my proof until I deem likewise. I like to expose people when the time is right.
