83. what statement? BUSH LIED
not "we were misled"

misled is a weak word -- I want to hear the "L" word -- Lies, Liar, Lied

one of bush*'s stump phrases is that congress/Kerry had the same information as bush* did regarding Iraq's WMDs

Congress/Kerry received the INFORMATION that bush* inc wanted them to receive

another is that the "UN/world communities' intelligence all said the same thing regarding Iraq's WMDs"

If the UN/world communities' intelligence said the same thing as bush*'s version -- then why was the UN/world reluctant/against the invasion?

bush lied - soldiers died

12. What I want is simple
I want Kerry to talk about the August 6th Presidential Daily Briefing and state that Bush had a warning that Bin Laden was prepping an attack and that he did nothing.

I want to hear Bush explain away that one, and then I want to read and hear the resultant media coverage of the issue.

Thats all, if Kerry were to effectively educate the American people that this idiot who has wrapped himself in the flag and in the War on terror actually dropped the ball a month before 9/11 it would strip away the only issue that he is percieved as being strong on.

Oh yeah, i would like to hear Kerry mention the 28 pages too.

Bush would friggin explode.

and that this is why he debated poorly last time (yah RIGHT)

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x997909

Were Kerry to bring up your dream scenario, Bush would come back with "well, there's just too much that I knew about that you wouldn't have known about, that I can't elaborate on."

(WHATEVER, Bunnypants.)

57. Hell yeah...I agree - but also
When a breifing says that Bin Laden is determined to attack the US and there are signs consistant with hijackings and buildings in NY, something should have been done. Instead, Condi said in front of the 9/11 commission that she felt that nothing needed to be done - that it was a 'historical' document. Watch the DVD Extra Footage on Fahrenheit 9/11 - the testimony she gave to Ben Veniste is just flat out shocking. The 9/11 families were in the room just shaking their heads in disbelief at what this woman was saying.

What I think REALLY needs to be brought up, and Id like to start a new thread seeing what others think is that Kerry needs to address the fact that over the past year MANY revelations have come out that have shown that this administration has FAILED the American people in their defense policy. Between the yellowcake documents being known fakes before the war, the uranium tubes being bad evidence known before the war, the 9/11 report showing no link to al qaeda or 9/11, the absense, now CONFIRMED absence of WMDs...this administration has failed.

What Bush keeps saying in response to 'broad allusions' to these effects is that Kerry had the same evidence. For the first time tonight, on Aaron Brown, I saw a guy that is an 'unofficial advisor' to Kerry say "No, he didn't. This administration manipulated evidence to fit their agenda" and started siting just what I stated. My jaw dropped. The republican counterpart then basically said that Kerry doesnt have the balls to say that so he sends people like this guy out to say it. It is time for Kerry to say it. He did actually start a little bit in the last debate, and this one he will again be limited to what is related to the topics at hand, but it is time for him to start telling this 'truth' he is talking about. He is now saying we want the truth, and he is right. We are dying for everyone to know what really happened. He knows, and there is so much that has documented proof. There are CIA analysts that have left the agency in disgust at how this administration has manipulated intelligence.

However, what I think is MOST important in regards to 'we had the same intelligence' is that this intelligence was from BUSH*'S ADMINISTRATION. It is time for a new and COMPETENT administration in this country, and we will not get that with George bush*. Even if bush* and his cronies didnt manipulate the evidence. Even if everyone who handled the intelligence thought it was good intelligence - they were WRONG and need to be fired, from the top down.

I want him to say in real simple words how he spent a major part of his career uncovering money laundering, funding of terrorists, and CIA drug running - tie in Bush senior to that, and right before he ends, say that Bush rehired the very same people indicted in the scandal, and run through the names real quick, so people know he's talking about something specific.

52. Cruel polices do not equal compassion.
How can you go off on Christmas vacation while refusing to back the extension of unemployment benefits for thousands of families, despite pleas from the Democrats?

You're neither compassionate nor bipartisan.

The president of the United States is president to all the citizens, not just political donors, not just corporations, not just pre-screend audiences.

It's the INHERITANCE tax, not the death tax.

You realize, of course, that you never would have been governor of Texas, let alone president, were it not for your last name.

Compassion does not mean $300 million tax cuts for billionaires and cuts to home heating programs.

59. If doofus trys the "but you voted FOR the war" Kerry should look directly
at him and respond:

"Yes I did, along with almost the entire world, Mr. President, because we TRUSTED you. We believed you, in spite of the overwhelming evidence at the time that proved otherwise. YOU said you had SECRET information and photos, and lots of other EVIDENCE that was TOO SECRET TO EVEN SHOW US!, unlike President Kennedy.

We TRUSTED you, and you LIED to us!

There was never any WMD.
There were never any photos, or other proof.

We TRUSTED you and YOU LIED TO US!

At the time of the Cuban Missle Crisis, President Kennedy tried to show the photos that Castro indeed had missels installed on his island, but Charles DeGaulle brushed that aside before he could pull them out with the comment: "You do not need to do that, Mr. President. America's word is good enough for us!"

That trust has been shattered for a long time, from which we may never recover.

My administration will restore the trust you abused."

66. Three.
1.

Is it true or not true, that prior to the start of the Iraq War, the Pentagon presented 3 different plans to you that told you, they had al-Zarqawi, and his Al-quida followers pinpointed and you could destroy them all if you act now? And you rejected all three.

2.

You put your signature on the official chief economic report that said you were recommending working at McDonalds, be classified now as a manufacturing job. Is it your idea that the $15 an hour factory jobs we used to have can now be replaced with the $7 an hour jobs putting pickles on a hamburger?

3.

Why did you sit for seven minutes after you were just told "the country is under attack"? And second, how did you see on television something that wasn't broadcast by any television network...the first plane hitting the tower?

68. ARREST THAT MAN!
That's what I'd love to hear him say... and have the court order and cops right there to do it publicly in front of the entire world.

And make sure to connect Iraq to the economy at every turn. Make those stupid war supporters realize they kicked their own asses with Bush's help.

"I did not vote for a war and I did not start a war."

I'm more convinced than ever that Bush/Cheney have always believed that the IWR was a declaration of war. It wasn't. That's just what they wanted it to be. They still don't get it.

77. Enron, Kenny Boy Lay
I'm sure he has his facts down on outsourcing and job loss. I'd like him to say 'outsourcing' every chance he gets. Outsourcing is also a serious security risk.

http://bigpath.net/politics/Economy/EconomyStart.html

Outsourcing National Security: A Case Study of how an Indiana company that our Defense Department cannot do without is now entirely in the hands of Chinese companies with close ties to the Chinese government.

He has to take that 'ownership' word back from *--owning a house is not the same thing as owning a chance to gamble your retirement away.

80. It all depends on the questions..
but I'd like to hear Kerry:

Explain how he actually didn't "vote for the war", but for the threat of war.

Defend Edwards's senate attendance, and tell the truth about Cheney's

Dead the whole Swiftboat Vets for Bush nonsense

Protect against a possible October surprise, re Bin Laden or WMD's found.

"Bin Laden has greatly increased his recruiting capabilities, and now Al Qaed is stronger than ever, producing more and more Bin Ladens"

Repeat that WMD's are coming into Iraq through the border, that I believe he said at the 1st debate, but many may have missed.

If he were to make these points after the October surprise, his case would not be as strong

One more thing: Kerry needs to emphasize that he will not institute a draft.. by explaining how. By getting more allies involved, he won't need to.
