1. We only would have been insurgents
If they had successfully overthrown our government and established an occupation/puppet government.

2. good point
I also want people to remember that being
attacked/invaded has happened before to us
and we didn't sit back to see if they'd
build us Internet cafes.

4. They did occupy US territory.
They occupied the Phillipines and some Alaskan islands. We kicked them out and made them pay.

5. description of Japanese occupation
Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 12:23 PM by James T. Kirk
Here is an interesting quote from "History of World War II" written in 1945.

Manila had only been in enemy hands two days when the reigh of terror began under the Japanese lash. Brutality and murder became the order of the day. The people wee cruelly misteated. Prisoners, both American and Filipino, were subjected to horrible ordeals and thrown into prisons and concentration camps. The world was shocked by the revelations of savagery when, three years later, the prisoners of Manila were liberated.

3. No way!
We fought back and nuked their asses. We made them unconditionally surrender, occupied their nation for years, forced democracy on them and we still base our armed forces in their country to this day! We also whipped Vichy France, Italy, Germany and Romania!

Thos infamous dastards got what was coming to them.
