2. apparently Kerry's doesn't pay CNN *enough*
so that he too, can have free air time. It will be interesting when Kerry is president to see if he gets free air time as a "perk" on CNN.

17. sure they will
Big Dawg didn't pay them, and Kerry won't either. But the reptilian Republicans will continue to shell out cash for the shilling to continue.

That is the only thing I expect to not change regardless of the outcome on Nov. 2.

10. Better question: Why are you STILL WATCHING CNN?
Haven't they proven their bias to you yet?

It's like getting slapped in the face again and again and coming back for more.

so it might be a good thing for us that they're showing some of it. He really does sound like he's ranting and raving even in his stumps, nowadays. (Vociferously? ha)

18. He sounds crazy
i just heard some of it. railing on about how Kerry would pay for programs but no mention of his own of course. I was in New Mexico this weekend and i saw a lot of Bush signs but i saw even more Kerry signs and a lot of them were on pick-up trucks. One that i saw over and over again was VETERANS AGAINST BUSH.

19. They need a laugh track
Besides CNN being lazy journalists, they don't have a sense of humor either. If they did, they'd have commentary from the newsjays saying stuff like "heh, there he goes again with 'liberal'" with perhaps a chiming bell every time he says "hard work".

20. Odd ...
People used to worry about Communists. Now they worry about terraists and how they, "hate our freedoms". Oh yeah, sure.

To me, two of the biggest threats to Democracy, by their own actions and behavior, are Faux and CNN, (Certainly Not the News).

Without a free press/media that has integrity and that is not beholden to corporate whims and desires, you are not going to have a Democracy. It will not survive under those conditions. We have to ask, whose interests are being served and for what purpose?

Do they seem to hate our freedoms even more? Well, that's the big question. Truth and balance are important to freedom. Media filters are also just as troubling as what they present.

Terrorism is a real threat and has been around a long time, but it is not the only one we face. It has been used as a major distraction from other, important issues. The time is coming when the distractions will no longer hold.

Holding the media accountable is important. If they refuse to comply, then abandoning them for other sources is a tool that can be exercised in response. There are already many rumblings on the frontier and many new sources being born and flourishing.

The Mass Media is now meeting its "MP3/P2P".
