Heard Nader say he would do joint Kerry appearances - Good idea?
Evidently, Kerry has said enough stuff lately to make Ralph think they could do some joint appearances on the campaign. I think the guy is an egomaniac and all that stuff, but could this help "unofficially" move some hardline Nader votes our way? Or would we risk uncommitted votes by seeming to supprt some of Nader's radical ideas?

2. No way! Unless he's prepared to say, "Vote for Kerry."
otherwise the message gets muddled. "One's the same as the other"? "Vote for either is a vote against Bush"? Nader's only honorable course is to GET OUT and ENDORSE Kerry. But he won't, the stubborn fool.

5. Yes, it would be.
If my daughter were of voting age, she would vote for Nader. Many of her friends of voting age are voting for him. They feel alienated, and can't quite connect with Kerry. Nader is the poster boy for alienation, it seems. I don't see where it would hurt at this point.

13. Bwahaha! Nader is getting SO desperate
Just a few days ago he was vilifying Kerry.

Nadir cares about one thing only - himself.

Nadir thinks appearing with Kerry will help Nadir, so why should Kerry grant him the legitimacy of a joint appearance?

19. Intelligent?
I assume that Nader is not totally daft. He should be aware of just how important this election is and that it matters. The Judicial appointments should be enough for him, even.

If Nader pulled an October surprise by dropping out and backing Kerry, he could rescue his image and become more of the hero for the people he used to pretend to be.

I fear he may be too egotistical and such an ideologue that he would see it as bowing to the partisan system. If he cannot see that his "message" is more of a detriment to the system than a contribution, then I have major problems with him and tend to see him as more of a Repub shill than anything else.

Does the communication and intent signal something though?

supporters to do so and 4) then Bash Bush if that is why he's making little noises about supporting Kerry.

Kerry should thank him and keep campaigning...solo.

24. No way
It will make it look like Kerry is pandering to Nader.

Nader needs to do whatever it is he's planning to do all by himself. If he decides to throw his support to Kerry then he should call a press conference and do it alone.

No joint campaign appearances. Nader gets most of his money from Repugs anyway. Maybe he sould make a joint appearance with Bush.

31. I've wondered for a while if Nader
truly thinks he is a credible third choice or if he's just trying to steal Dem votes. This seals it for me. No way should Kerry do this. All it can do is make it OK for some otherwise Kerry voters to vote Nader.

Plus, there's a thread somewhere around here about the swillboat vets donating to Nader.

He should tell everyone who's supporting Nader's candidacy to vote for Kerry in any state where it's going to be close.

He should also tell his supporters that it'll be easier to move forward a progressive agenda with Kerry in the White House than Bush.

Giving Nader a joing appearance is just as ridiculous as having a joing campaign appearance with Bush! Incredible.

Maybe Nader can float the idea past Bush. After all, it was the Bushies that helped pay for Nader in the first place.

In the meantime, what does the Democratic Party owe to Nader? Nothing. Nader is sounding like a spoiled brat.

Nadar was on Keith Olbermann last night and I have come to the conclusion that he is CRAZY!!!

He doesn't like Bush, but feels Kerry isn't liberal enough so he can't support him. And he really thinks he can win. Plus, even if he doesn't, he said he just wants to break apart the two political parties to shake up the system.

HE IS NUTS!!! Lord!!! How can anyone that listens to him support his dribble. I know our system needs help, but NOW is not the time to do this because if we get 4 more years of Bush he won't have to worry because our system will be broke.

Keith asked if he would consider dropping out and he said, "NOPE!!"

yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is
