You can access their addresses here:

http://castor.vivademocracy.com/site/act

Tell them why you support Kerry and put in a plug for Betty Castor. One you have written 5 letters come back here and kick this thread and tell us how it went. This can make a big difference. Let's do it!

1. This should go over about as well
as the Britons' attempts to write Ohio voters.

8. I tried this yesterday, with the same site
(provided by Progressive majority). I was VERY disappointed by the total lack of interest by DUers. Posting about baseball and cNN seem far more important to most people than actually winning this election and saving America from fascism. :-(

People, nobody will KNOW where you're calling from. Hell, my cell phone has an Ohio area code, but I live in Florida. The point is; you can GET OUT THE VOTE for a very critical swing state, sitting in the exact spot you are RIGHT NOW!

What if Florida loses us the presidency again, but by only 50 votes? Is the damage to our country worth inaction?

15. I wish I could get excited about this, but...
I did a lot of this during the Dean campaign. And I do mean a LOT.

I think you can see how much good it did.

I know a few people in Florida. I know some people from Florida. They live lives that I don't understand. So I'm not sure what to say to them.

My reasons for voting for Kerry are very progressive-leaning. And I struggle to portray him as "middle-of-the-road".

So I guess that's why I'm reluctant.

Now, if I thought I was writing to BLACK Floridians, I'd probably go for it. But just folks at random, I can't do.

you kick mine, I'll kick yours, until a few more people start realizing that democracy requires a bit of effort on our part!

13. Love your dedication, but
I don't think letter writing at this point to already election over-saturated Floridians is a good idea. I wrote quite a few letters for Dean- and ironically, I think it might have actually HURT him in Iowa. I think the level of election din reaches a point where people actually resent even well intentioned efforts to influence them, and campaign efforts masquerading as personal appeals are just as likely to back fire. Anyone undecided at this point is either not going to vote, or are much more likely to vote for change (that's us).

16. Kerry's volunteers in Florida
are doing an excellent job of registering and calling people to vote for Kerry, offering them rides, etc. This election does not compare to 2000 at all. Floridians are volunteering for Kerry like never before. We know this is the most crucial election in our lifetimes.

Write letters if you like. I guess it can't hurt. Rather than lecturing people on how to vote, I'd just encourage them to vote. The biggest problem is people who don't vote at all. A huge turnout and WE WIN.
